Schumacher has been on both ends of the spectrum:

I liked The Lost Boys and A Time to Kill.

But, look at DC Cab, Flatliners, and Batman and Robin.

Uwe Boll is just a joke......

Michael Bay can direct action scenes, but nothing else.  Bay is a repeat offender of major continuity errors, and he doesn't care.  If you watch Pearl Harbor, when the attack happens.....it was very good, but the 18 hour love triangle between Beckinsale, Affleck, and Hartnet was awful.  His comments about the horrible science in Armegeddon was not a concern to him, which is just unbelieveable.  What kills me is that he releases "director's cut" versions of crap like Pearl Harbor and Armegeddon......which proves he is just evil.

Darren Aronofsky, He did Requiem for a Dream and The Fountain.

Both way too predictable and shitty.
Global warming, where?

The hell? Requiem kicks ass.

and what in the hell was even close to predictable about the fountain?  Its meaning is still mildly obscured to me although i have theories i like.

I haven't seen The Foutain, but I really liked Pi and Requiem for a Dream, both excellent films.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

If you liked those two then i think the fountain you would probably like.  Its one of those movies youll talk about afterwards.  Its not so much that it didnt make sense its that its all very subjective what some things meant.
