I'm not sure if this is the right thread to post this, but I've got to put it somewhere: http://chud.com/articles/articles/21684/1/THE-DEVIN039S-ADVOCATE-WHY-BREAKING-DAWN-MUST-BE-MADE-INTO-A-MOVIE/Page1.html
This is what I mean....parents let their pre-teens read this shit?

But I still suspect that since part of what isn't supposed to happen until the book Eclipse has happened in the movie New Moon I'm getting the feeling that the movie Eclipse will be a mash of the last two books.

BTW, the Cullens own an island off Brazil?  So... why all the stuff about moving around?  Why not just stock with deer or some other animal to feed from and just live safely on their own for the rest of their days?

And a question for anyone who's read the books......do they get into Carlisle's history at all?  Am I the only one finding the idea of a practicing physician/vampire who "saves" patients he can't save medically by making them vampires 100 times more interesting than anything else about these books?

EDIT:  When I looked up Twilight to double check the doctor's name...clicked on the actor's profile and in his Tweets there was a link to this - "Here's my gift to you.A spoof of Breaking Dawn":   :D

Yes.  Yes they do.  I think his father was a priest of the Anglican variety.  And there was a plague.  Or something....Details are sketchy.    Ah, here you go:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlisle_Cullen#Carlisle_Cullen

Now see, THAT sounds like it could be a cool book series.....flesh it out a bit.

And I think this confirms my suspicions as there's no appearance of the Volturi in the book "Eclipse"....but they show up at the end of "Breaking Dawn".

QuoteIn the New Moon film, the cast of the Volturi includes Michael Sheen as Aro; Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius; Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus; Dakota Fanning as Jane; Cameron Bright as Alec; Charlie Bewley as Demetri; Daniel Cudmore as Felix....Fanning, Bright, Charlie Bewley, and Cudmore will reprise their roles in the 2010 film Eclipse.

No Michael Sheen!   :'(    ;)

So only one more film and it's over!!!   :highfive:

With these actors, at least. And considering how they seem to feel about the series, they'll probably jump ship as soon as their contracts expire. But considering the absurd amount of money this thing is making, they'll find some way to continue it.

Meyer would have to write more books.  Unless they start filming fan fiction about this fan fiction....

And looks like she's too busy with this other series The Host and the movies they're going to make from those....which a brief look at a summary makes me think, "Bad L. Ron Hubbard novel"....but that could be unfair.

Relaxing Dragon

Hope they change the name if they make a movie out of that, there's already a Host movie (that, naturally, is very good).

The Korean monster movie?   Because (according to IMDB) there's been five films called The Host....and two in the works.   ???

Maybe they'll name it Stephanie Meyer's The Host....

Good call. I guess the Korean one is the only one I think of.

What was that line of Mike's in the Twilight Rifftrax when Edward tells Bella that no one would believe her about how he stopped the truck....?

"Quoting directly from The Abusive Guy's Handbook there..."

see now I would pay full price for that

also, Twilight is better than The Princess Bride

QuoteTw Staff: Reading Twilight it came to me the story of Westley and Buttercup. Is Bella and Edward love, True Love like theirs?

Stephenie: Actually Bella and Edward love story is better than them. When I was in college I wrote a l paper from a feminist perspective (it's an easy way to write) on the princess bride so I am little biased. The problem I have with Westley and Buttercup is Buttercup is an idiot and it doesn't bother anyone, all that matters is that she's beautiful, that is her only value. At the end she redeems herself a bit, but the female characters are very weak in that story. Westley is brave and smart and fights, Buttercup is just beautiful, it's her only thing: her brain means nothing, her personality means nothing to him, they have the kind of love where they can't leave without each other. It's not a great example to me. I couldn't find one who was a really good comparison to me, I mean, Elizabeth Bennet and Mr.Darcy's it's pretty good, except you should think that if either one of them dies the other one will carry on bravely, and Romeo and Juliet were kind of idiots, they didn't know each other very well. And Anna Of Green Gables and Gilbert Blythe (Anna dai capelli rossi), but they are much more like Jacob and Bella, they're friend they get the nerves of each other a lot. I didn't find out yet a Bella and Edward love story that really satisfied me that way.

Yeah I already knew about the content of the book and that's been my view all along; the last one might actually be worth watching, if for nothing else to see if they can actually put it all on screen.

Wait, WHAT?!!!!!  Is this the same Buttercup who was mean to Westley only to find out she loved him, and, went horseriding by herself, and, tried to swim away from her kidnappers, and, talked back to The Dread Captain Roberts, and, rolled down a hill when it occured to her that it was her Westley, and, "WILL YOU PROMISE NOT TO HURT HIM?", and threatening and calling out Prince....whatever his name is when he said she killed Westley (and, it's not that a ghost form of Westley told her to lie), and, yet, like, Bella, was going to commit suicide, but, told somebody about it first.....AFTER SHE TOLD THAT PERSON THAT HE WAS A GOOD KIND PERSON, unlike Bella would!!!?????

THAT Buttercup?  Is that THE Buttercup we're on?!!!!
