That is the full, unedited writeup; I meant cut behind the spoiler tag. This is what LiveJournal does to your vocabulary. :P

My brother, who is far braver (and funnier) than I am, took his drunk college improv troupe to the midnight showing. They only barely survived, but he still had enough life to write the following review. (He was understandably drained and exhausted, hence the occasional bout of incoherence/repetition/general-zoning-out.)

Hit the nail on the head!

Though we can't go without mentioning the Volturi.

Seriously, they're meant to be this formidible group of important, powerful bloodsuckers, and instead we've got a creepy, mincing guy, an effeminite man with girly hair, and a big guy who looks and talks like he's constantly stoned. Along with the lovely Alice, they were the best part of the movie for me.

The Rifftrax crew have to leap on this once it hits DVD. It will be glorious.

QuoteThe "Twilight" fans have done it... The Twilight Saga: New Moon set a new midnight opening record with $26.27 million from 3,514 theaters last night! That surpasses the opening nights of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince ($22.2 million) and The Dark Knight ($18.4 million). Will "New Moon" be able to pass up "Dark Knight's" $67.1 million single day record? Stay tuned for more box office results as they come in.

This little diddy we found pretty much sums up our view of the Twilight phenomenon.

Was watching a show that had people's first reactions at midnight and one guy said he was "Team Alice". I guess RAD and I fall under that category. Amirite?

New Moon, movie wise, to me was much better than Twilight.  I am a Twilight fan though.

But like the last one and the Harry Potter movies and many others, cannot wait for the riff.

Well, there goes another record for The Dark Knight:

QuoteAfter setting a new record for midnight openings with $26.27 million at 3,514 theaters, Summit Entertainment's The Twilight Saga: New Moon has also broken the record for a single day, earning $71 million on Friday at 4,024 theaters. The previous single day record of $67.1 million was held by The Dark Knight.

It looks like The Dark Knight's 3-day record of $158 million may be in jeopardy now as well.

Don't know that the death of the "It's a great movie, look at all the money it made" argument is such a bad thing....

0:59 seconds - "The chick Bella gets on a bike and shit and she's hanging out with the wolf boy. And she's like 'I'm gonna fucking take off on this bike.' She don't say that by my dialogue is better." :D
Thank you for that.

Love the "somebody in a Spock costume looks at someone in a Chewie costume thing"!   :D   Only thing truer was that one good joke in the movie Superhero Movie at the comic book convention...."Your costume sucks!"

For what it's worth, it's got a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes...
I'd be interested to find out the percentage of those people who'd actually seen the movie.
Um....you evidently have never bothered to read Rotten Tomatoes or you'd know that this 27% is the percentage of positive reviews by newspaper, magazine and online critics.....you know, people who go to advance screenings of the film....it's how they make a living.

(figured you must need that last part explained too)

::)

Thanks, maybe you should start a course on being smug and negative so I can learn how to do it better.  :P

Crap.

I was called into work on friday, therefore confirming my suspicions that my boss is a Twilight fan and is somehow watching me on the internet.  :grr:

Oh well, now what should I do with my carboard cutout of Edward?

Decisions, decisions.

I still say go on another day and burn it, hack it up with a sword, or what ever in front of fan girls

Give it to someone who wants it and make them very happy.

With your class on how to jump to conclusions and be judgmental about people and things without bothering to learn anything about it?

PS - I'm assuming that you're including Kevin Smith and the screenwriter of Superhero Movie in that description since all I did is agree with them?
