Hid descriptions of some of the scenes are great.

0:59 seconds - "The chick Bella gets on a bike and shit and she's hanging out with the wolf boy. And she's like 'I'm gonna fucking take off on this bike.' She don't say that by my dialogue is better." :D

For what it's worth, it's got a 27% on Rotten Tomatoes...

I love the one quote.....

QuoteTwihards will be OMG, OMG, OMG. The rest of us? ROTFL.

Even one of the good review quotes makes it sound god-awful....

QuoteMopey, draggy, and absurdly self-important, the movie nonetheless twangs at some resonant affective chord.

EDIT:  The Village Voice had this to say about the appearance of Michael Sheen (which is the one and only interesting thing about this movie)

QuoteThere, in a movie almost totally devoid of humor, let alone real passion, waits Michael Sheen, king of the evil Volturi, decked out in a long, black wig and a curling lip. Alone of all the earnest players in this turgidly euphemistic melodrama, Sheen seems to grasp that the only way you can keep a straight face through this choked-up virginity is to carry it way into camp.

I'd be interested to find out the percentage of those people who'd actually seen the movie.

Thank you for that.

Love the "somebody in a Spock costume looks at someone in a Chewie costume thing"!   :D   Only thing truer was that one good joke in the movie Superhero Movie at the comic book convention...."Your costume sucks!"

Um....you evidently have never bothered to read Rotten Tomatoes or you'd know that this 27% is the percentage of positive reviews by newspaper, magazine and online critics.....you know, people who go to advance screenings of the film....it's how they make a living.

(figured you must need that last part explained too)

::)

27%?! Wow, that's even lower than what I expected. I think it's all downhill from here folks.

As to the quality of the films?  Probably.

As to will there be more films?  They're already shooting the next one and the pre-sold tickets just set a record....so this crap will go on.

From an article on IMBD...a kind of round up of reviews...

QuoteFew of them even attempt to appraise the movie for its artistic quality, the apparent thinking being, "Why bother?" Hence, Kyle Smith's hilarious review in the New York Post, which begins: "Twilight, which was about a girl and a vampire who don't hook up, is totally different from The Twilight Saga: New Moon, which is about a girl, a vampire and a werewolf who don't hook up. And it's not at all like the next sequel, in which a girl, a vampire, a werewolf and a mummy fail to find romance, nor the one after that, in which the girl gets unfriended by all of the above plus the Invisible Man and King Kong -- yet finds her heart aflutter when she befriends the Bride of Frankenstein."

Dammit, Maverick! Why don't you play by the rules?!

BTW Is anyone else sick of kids who confuse Twilight and The Twilight Zone? I know this is going to sound like sour grapes but I think CBS should sue.

Lord help me, I'm actually gonna see this trainwreck tonight. If it's half as bad as the last one, I'm in for a treat.

My brother, who is far braver (and funnier) than I am, took his drunk college improv troupe to the midnight showing. They only barely survived, but he still had enough life to write the following review. (He was understandably drained and exhausted, hence the occasional bout of incoherence/repetition/general-zoning-out.)

...hahahahahaha!!!

I was just perusing some of the reviews over at RT and loved how succinct this heading is...

Twihards will be OMG, OMG, OMG. The rest of us? ROTFL. (Kevin Williamson, Toronto Sun/Jam Magazine)

That's splendid! It's gonna be an interesting & fun trip to the theater this weekend.

Excellent review. I'm so torn because I want to see the film for its unintentional hilarity but I know it's not even worth the $9.00 they'll make me pay to see it. I mostly just want to see Michael Sheen ham it up on screen.

It's cut for length?  Would you please be so good as to pm me the full version?  I don't want to miss anything.  AND, I was looking forward to this movie, but, your brother is changing my mind.  I mean, I still will probably see it ($4 here)....if not, I'll catch it for RiffTrax.
