I laughed more during this rifftrax than any others.  I thought lowtax was really funny and blended in well with Mike.  Sure I am biased because I wanted to see this one so bad.  But I really laughed my head off on this one. This riff more than lived up to all the expectations I had.  My favorite line was the Willie McGee reference.  So obscure and totally priceless.

i loved the 'Duh heard round the world' riff

Also the Axe effect riff too lol

Loved it. For his first effort, the boy Lowtax did good. In fact, his style of speaking and delivery reminded me of someone, and after wracking my brains, I think I know who it is: Demetri Martin. Which is, of course, A Good Thing.

I wonder how many non-baseball fans got the McGee reference?

Excellent first effort for Lowtax.  I thought I detected a little bit of nervousness, but that is understandable.

The only thing that Lowtax should never have done was the impersonation of the Goblin Queen in that grating, mock female voice......That was somethingawful....(insert rimshot here).  Other than that, I thought he did great.

But, a solid overall performance.

Best Lowtax line:  I see that he has Twigmata.

I just saw the trax and have to admit, I'm a little disappointed.  I don't think it's a problem with Lowtax riffing the movie (I thought he had several excellent lines), but rather a lack of chemistry between the two riffers.  I hope it's something that will come with time and future riffs.

On Lowtax's voice: I think if you digitize how voice, it would sound a lot like Disembaudios.   :)

Pound for pound, Melido Perez is 47 tons uglier than Willie McGee.  Somebody find a photo of his 1988 Donruss card.  He looks like a Street Shark.

wow, i thought i was the only one who heard some demetri martin in his delivery.  makes me wonder how well he'd be at riffing.  he's pretty good with observational humor, but i dunno if he has the personality for it.

Sorry Rich, Willie is the least handsome of the two.   Of course, Willie is also one of the NICEST guys on the planet, so i really should not say anything.

Now if you put Melido and his brother Pascual Perez up against Willie McGee than maybe you top Willie.
Go to this page and scroll down to October 13, 2006 and you will see a very goblin like card of Pascual.

It's not quite riffing, but he did commentary for the fourth season box set of Home Movies, so if nothing else he's capable of sitting in a recording booth and talking while watching something.

I thought it was quite funny. I had read Lowtax's review before the rifftrax was released. I also saw the movie before I read Lowtax's review. I thought they did a fine job of tearing the movie a new one. It's not my favorite rifftrax, but it is defintely a good one.
