I'd like to submit some lesser known zombie movies for your consideration. I urge you to check them out if you haven't already. For the masochists like me that actually enjoy watching bad movies, there are some real gems on this list.

Fido, Dead and Breakfast, Wild Zero, Die You Zombie Bastards!, Redneck Zombies, Dead Alive (Brain Dead) ( is this that obscure, actually?), Zombie Honeymoon, Plane Dead, The Mad -BILLY ZANE!-, Slither, Undead, Vampires v. Zombies, and Corpses are Forever.

Seen 8 of those. I strongly suggest that people not watch Vampires vs. Zombies though. It's just horrible. It's almost devoid of any merit at all, and this comes from someone who's seen numerous "Let's make a zombie film with our camcorder!" films.

I'm in! How can I not be? Now to dig up some bad/good zombie films!!

I don't know. It's so bad it's good... almost. It does have more lesbians than zombies though, that's true.

While not a movie, it still involves zombies, along with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost

Having seen this, I'll toss my vote in the "so bad its bad" pile.

I really liked Fido, Dead Alive and Slither.    Probably Slither the best out of the group.

Don't forget "Flight of the Living Dead".

Slither, Undead, and Flight of the Living Dead, that's three more I need to see.

Since we're counting Slither, we need to count Night of the Creeps. Which, as luck would have it, is finally getting a legitimate DVD release at the end of the month (I can finally see the alternate regular ending with the rest of the movie).

Bob

I liked Slither as it was such a throwback "practical effect" rather than CGI movie.    And the actors in it were all spot on perfect.

I have a couple of films that you guys should try and check out:

Zombie Nation
The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue
The Quick and the Undead
Dance of the Dead
Tokyo Zombie
Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things
The Dead Next Door

All of mixed quality.  All featuring the living dead! :)

If I watch any zombie-themed movies, I'll stick 'em in this thread.

Bob

Vanguard was also very "indie-cool".

And, "Darkness:  The Vampire Version"...... very odd foreign film

The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue

Better known as "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie" in other climes.  And, seconded.

In honor of Rude's Zombie-Thon, I'll finally watch that this month. :)

Rude, how about some Wild Zero?

City Of The Living Dead

The suicide of a priest from Dunwich opens the gates of hell. And it's up to a young psychic to close the portal before All Saint's Day... which is apparently the deadline for this sort of thing because The Book Of Eibon said so. Personally, i'm still on the fence as to whether these are zombies or sinister ghosts. They have supernatural powers, and tend to just kinda' teleport somewhere and spook people. Anyway, lots of awesome scenes and tons of gore.

Best Scene: Yeah, you all think you're just having a nice conversation. But then the windows blow open, and... maggot blizzard!

Worst Scene: The film comes seconds away from showing some deviant have sex with a blow-up doll. Seriously.

Goriest Scene: First she's making out, then she's getting felt up, then her eyes start to bleed, and then... she vomits up her own intestines.

I actually own that one so it's on my list for sure! In fact, i'm converting it for my Zune so i can watch it at lunch if i get the chance sometime this week. Mmmm... zombie movies and lunch. That's a good idea, right there!

Rude, how about some Wild Zero?

Ya' know, somebody else mentioned that too. I had forgot that it features zombies. I usually only think of Guitar Wolf and spaceships, but i have a copy of it somewhere around here. Someone recommended Zombie Strippers as well, so i'm searching that one out. I don't want to give away too many of the films that i plan on watching though... but recommendations are always good!

Anyway, i got another "review" coming up here soon. But i'm on my way out the door right now...
Get out there and start watching zombie movies everyone!
