I'm  pretty sure doubles are probably used for the 'real sex' parts. Not that that really helps at all because we'd still be seeing Dafoe in compromising positions and what not.

Tyrant's sig just reminded me how glad I am that The Room did not come with a similar warning (though I imagine they could have presented a warning of "real sex with a lady's upper right hip bone").

Good chance of the movie making its way to Criterion?

Several titles from the IFC Films library will be getting the full bells-and-whistles treatment on Blu-ray and DVD, thanks to a deal between IFC and top-shelf homevid distrib the Criterion Collection.

So I finally got to see it when it released on Friday. Wow. For any of you wanting to see it, if you know what you're going into and think you can handle it definitely see it. I thought it was pretty great actually. Charlotte Gainsbourg deserves an Oscar for her performance in this.

Note: for those of you that cant get out to the theater and see it because it's not playing near you, IFC On Demand will have it starting this Wednesday, fully uncut in the original Cannes version.

I would be mortified and disturbingly curious all at once.

Though I don't think a riff could make me see this movie again. Once is quite enough, thank you very much.
