I went ahead and bought tickets for the Rifftrax Live encore showing here in Louisville. So far I haven't seen any evidence that people in this area (aside from myself and a friend) post on this board. Anyone who plans to go to the Stonybrook showing is welcome to make a reply here though. It would be nice if we had a lot fans there like we did at the Tinseltown showing.

A great time was had by the few who came. I managed to convince three other people to come to the show with me, one of whom came with me to the previous show. It definitely wasn't sold out, but I was happy that I got to see it again with my friend, a couple newbies, and a few people who I'd like to think became fans if they weren't already.

Once again this felt like a secret showing, save for the a couple of light generated signs that simply said "Rifftrax". Nothing about Plan Nine From Outer Space mind you, just Rifftrax. As I was leaving, I thought it was funny that it was listed above that kids movie called "Shorts," so it looked like the theater was going to play "Rifftrax Shorts."  ;D Once again, very few people seemed to be working at the theater that night and did not appear to make any effort to advertise the show. I assume that some of the people that showed up for this only came because they wanted to see something at 7:00 on a Wednesday and didn't seem to mind that the title of what was showing was one word that probably didn't make any sense to them. Once again, nobody asked to see the tickets we bought. I don't go to movie theaters a lot, but I guess that so few people show up on Wednesday and Thursday nights they don't really care if people sneak in without paying.

We didn't get to see the facts at the beginning, so I was a little disappointed by that. There were four spots where the feed went out and came back in, which I'm sure is exactly what happened at the Tinseltown showing. I wouldn't be surprised if Stonybrook obtained a recording from the Tinseltown people. I hope the showing in October is glitch free.

I was wondering why Rifftrax didn't promote this showing and TorgosPizza talked about it in a different thread. "To be honest, we didn't really promote this because it was a fairly limited release. Ten theaters or something." TEN theaters? TWO of them in Kentucky? Wow, I felt a lot more special about going to the show after I read that. I wonder why my state got an extra chance to see the show. I think it's funny that only about three or four of the September 2nd theater showings were discussed and two of them were Kentucky showings, even if that was partially due to me talking to myself here.

I went ahead and put in a request for being off from work on October 8th, so hopefully I'll be able to go to a third showing. I wonder when they'll give the word on which theaters are showing it next month.
