An easy 10. An absolute out of the park performance last night.

Awesome. Awesome. AWESOME.

I bought tickets to this weeks ago, and decided to take a girl to it as our first date.  She sat down, hesitant and skeptical.  By the end, though, she was laughing so hard she was crying.  She's already suggested a second date!

The show was great.  Unfortunately, our theater was only about 30% full.....but the people who were there weren't shy about singing along or laughing out loud.  :D   Lowtax's sketches were....ok.  Johnathen (sp) Coulton was really good.  Of course the stars of the show took the cake.  If Mike, Kevin or Bill even read the forums:  You guys need to keep having these events.  I would buy tickets to every single one.

An absolutely fun experience.

Heck, I would buy a ticket for me and one for a friend! Come one, guys, that was fun! Do it again!

Hi everyone! first time caller, long time reader.

Guitar guy was alright.  I was a bit confused at the groupies singing along, like it was "My Heart Will Go On", though.  That was a bit odd.  Whoever this "Low Tax" character is.... is him being on the phone all the time his regular schtick?  I didn't get it.  He just looked incredibly ungrateful to be there, quite frankly.  But maybe it's part of a larger joke that I'm not privvy to.  His shorts (films, not trousers) were alright, first was way better than the second.

The 'Trax guys were great, it was a phenominal show.  Our theatre (WV) was about three quarters full.  Thanks to a huge storm, we lost the feed for about half an hour (during the movie, sadly - see it here: http://twitpic.com/envzz), but the audience flipped open their phones and stretched and were generally cool about it, and the theatre gave us "re-entry passes", despite feverishly telling us it wasn't their fault, four times.  I was amused to see that the show was on Dish Network, though.  That oh-so familiar blue error box has been showing up rather too often lately.

And so, in summary:

Don't let that one go!  She's a keeper!

Great show... I'd just like to add I enjoyed the Lowtax skits immensely. They were awesome.

The first fake-sponsor was great.  IMO the second one was mildly amusing, but not funny enough to build a full commercial out of.

Seconded! You really know how to create a great first date.

This was awesome. I haven't laughed that hard in years. I hope they do it again soon!

Hi Guys,

My wife and I saw the show last night. The short was hilarious, the movie was hilarious. I would go to another show (my wife, eh, not so much). We were in Woodland Hills, ca, and the theater was about 80% full.

My only criticism though is that musical bit about zombies.. come on....really, really lame. I am there to see riffing, not singing. And those fake commercials, not really why I am coming out. Please, just focus on the riffing. The riffing is hilarious, and it is what you guys do so well. MST3K was such a great show, with the exception of that stupid mad scientist lady and the ape. If the show had been just riffing, I think it would have appealed to a broader audience.

Thanks,

Stone

I understand.  Believe me, I understand.  But, you know how it goes.  They're trying to give us value for money, instead of just the movie.

....that said, I can't think of a concert I've ever attended where I didn't want the support act to burst into flames, just so they'd get off the stage sooner.
