Anyone else think some of Joel's Riffs are not loud enough?

I still do the ipod and DVD combo way and had zero issues with sound.    Of course, the ipod was louder than the movie cuz I did not give a hoot what was said on screen.

I gave up on re-authoring (and I am still bitter as my Rifftrax billing will indicate) and I still had to turn the movie down for the gun scenes.  'Tis a bad mix and should be re-done IMO. 

I am turning into those guys who used to bitch all the time and that makes me sad.

Now would that help to even out the movie .wav that has quiet talking parts and loud explosions and gunfire?

I'm not sure.  I think Auto-gain is meant for evening out the audio for stuff like podcasts.  Movie audio is way busier so I'm not sure what the results would be (I never thought to try).  I usually just use the regular compression filter for movie audio.
