NOTE: I, personally, am doing this for the folks at RiffTrax, especially Kevin Murphy. Kevin Murphy, for the entire years of 2001, went to a movie theater and saw a movie. However, he did see a couple movies multiple times. I am watching a DIFFERENT movie each day.

Hey guys, I'm watching a movie EVERY day, for an entire year. Starting today, July 19th 2009, which I watched 28 Weeks Later. Well, now I need more movies to watch to help me on my quest. So, I am asking you the community, to suggest movies for me to watch.

Thanks.

Okay, how about the prequel to 28 Week Later, titled 28 Weeks and starring Sandra Bullock. I'm still not quite sure what caused them to change direction so dramatically in the sequel though...

Well after Sandy tried to make me believe she was a drug addict it seemed only natural that a plague of hate would be next...the movie ticket was like $8 and I was kinda pissed at how lame the movie was.

To the original poster: just start netfixing the hell out of the site...it doesn't really matter what you see.
I am not above projectile vomiting to get my way

Don't know those three in red - have to check those out - but that list is great.  Add to that:

The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms
Earth vs. The Flying Saucers
It Came From Beneath the Sea
20 Million Miles to Earth
Them!
Quatermass and the Pit (if you can find it - think Netflix has it and it's on YouTube in pieces)
Robinson Crusoe on Mars
Freaks
Mask of Fu Manchu (Karloff)
Mad Love (Peter Lorre)
The Return of Dr. X (Bogart in a horror film)
The Most Dangerous Game (Fay Wray version)
Mystery of the Wax Museum (it's included on the DVD of House of Wax)
Shadow of the Vampire (and one or both versions of Nosferatu)

Non-sci-fi:

Shattered (Tom Berenger)
Black Widow (Debra Winger)
Holiday (Hepburn & Grant)
Scarface (Paul Muni version)
La Femme Nitkita
Gods and Monsters
The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie
Gosford Park
A Patch of Blue
The Intruder (on YouTube as "Shame")
Enchanted April
Any or all Mr. Moto films
Any or all Chalie Chans (Sidney Toler's ones are our favorites)
Any or all Thin Man films

Ones you probably haven't thought of. That should keep you busy.

Here's a random list, but all of these movies are amazing:

Citizen Kane - well, duh
Umberto D - Good ol' Italian Neorealism
Night of the Living Dead - Worth it just to watch the actors eat chocolate covered ham, but was also essential in rebooting the horror genre
Groundhog Day - A seriously awesome movie and great for philosophical discussion
The Lives of Others - Perhaps my all time favorite foreign film, the ending makes me cry happy tears every single time, guaranteed
Strangers on a Train - Creepy and fun as only Hitchcock can deliver
Rome, Open City - Italy, ho!
The Bicycle Thieves - Essential for any film buff
Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge - Only if you like Bollywood. Still, the movie was made ten years ago and still plays to sold out theatres in India.

Hey, keep us updated on the movies you watch, okay?

Dammit, Maverick! Why don't you play by the rules?!

"Joel, what's a Harringway?"
"About a pound."

You reminded me of an under-appreciated Hitchcock film - Rope.

Ignore that it's made to look that it's all one camera shot and just enjoy the story.

Don't ever watch Russian Ark, which really is all one camera shot. That's 90 minutes of my life gone.

No prob...another good one from around that time (along with Black Widow) was Decieved with Goldie Hawn (her playing drama for a change).

Berlin Alexanderplatz.

Technically a TV show.   :)

However, I would suggest a variety of Andy Warhol movies in compensation.   >:D

Fuzzy Necromancer

Duck: Quartermass and the Pit is still in availability limbo on Netflix. =(

Figures.  Downside of this system.  When something really, really good goes out of print what's the incentive for sending it back?

This is still available though.   :)

EDIT:  And another film that's under-appreciated -Idle Hands.  Horror comedy: Fred Willard, Seth Green, Jessica Alba and Vivica A. Fox who has my favorite line . Funny stuff.
