With emoticons.

And pictures of himself drunk in Mexico.

C'mon, RVR. Don't let us down! Only you can save this thread!!

Tripe

The other one might have been taken the wrong way.

Would I be freaking you guys out if i told you I'm developing a bit of a crush on Michael Bay? I mean he does have a nice six pack and all...but still he's not as hot as Optimus Prime.

Oh, and here are 10 gaping plot holes from Yahoo concerning revenge of the Fallen:

Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

This was quite a good post on the NPR website, a bit of which I reproduce here:

QuoteAn AP article argues today that Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen "sets a new standard for the gulf between what reviewers and mass audiences like."
...

But is that right? That audiences read reviews of Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen and think, "You don't know what you're talking about"?

Or do audiences understand what critics mean by "good," and simply think that's not the kind of "good" they're looking for on a Friday night?

Imagine a restaurant review of McDonalds. Now think about how much money McDonalds makes. It seems like a stretch to assume that the disparity means that people who eat at McDonalds are rolling their eyes at restaurant critics and thinking they don't know what they're talking about.

That's because not every purchase is conceived as an attempt to buy quality, either with burgers or with movie tickets. Sometimes you just want what you want.

This is more or less what the thread has been about, no?

Mark Kermode said something like, "yeah, a lot of people will go and watch Transformers 2, but that doesn't mean they'll enjoy watching it." He went on to elaborate that many people would go to see the movie for the "experience" of seeing it in the cinema environment.  I think he probably has a point...but only if we see dramatic drop-offs in the takings for the next few weeks.  If the movie has legs, then we know word-of-mouth for the public is good, or people are going to see it again after their first viewing.

seriously with #9 there.
I think that was the point where it went from just ridiculous movie to what-the-hell-is-wrong-with-you movie, for me at least.

For fun on dull days, I look through the snapping thread and remember snaps past.  It's fer fun!

This on the other hand is just every thread ever.

No, it's not.  You're so fucking wrong it's not even funny how fucking wrong you are.  I feel sorry for you.
Don't feel sorry for Hitler.

That's just the kind of thing Hitler would say.

10 plots holes, which means they discussed roughly 4% of the plot holes in the movie.

I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

This will extend to the first movie as well, but I just want to know why the Allspark and its shard turn all electronic devices into evil, murderous sentient creatures? I know about the whole choice thing but why does Earth technology choose to be evil all the time?

Cause Earth tech is supposedly backwards engineered from Megatron.

Edit: I could go into full geek mode here and probably answer/explain some of the plot holes, but I'm too into the whole "it's just a show and we should really just relax" philosophy.  ;)
