Denny: Idiot manchild who should be wearing a helmet? Or Tommy Wiseau's idea of what all college aged young men are like?  Discuss.

I wonder if his drug problem has cleared up or not.

Denny is a wonderful boy who takes time out from his full time "Johnny is going to adopt him" field to have time to apply to college.

Did you even watch "The Room".

They saved Denny from the evils of Drug.
Lisa and her mom yelled his demons out of him, "What kind of money?!  What kind of money?!!  What kind of money?!!!  Etc......!!!?"  and Poof! he was drug free.

He was ALWAYS drug-free.  IT WASN'T LIKE THAT, don't you understand?!?!

My favorite The Room phenomenon is Wiseau asking questions that actually attempt to do the terrible/nonexistant plot right, and then having every answer be "I don't wanna talk about it" or "don't worry about it."

I mean, was he supposed to be retarded? I'm pretty sure the actor was trying to do a dime-store version of Leonardo DiCaprio in "What's Eating Gilbert Grape". And yet, he was in "school". Also, can't he get a job, at least part-time? What's with Johnny and his compulsion to fund layabouts? Is he a Democrat or something?

You know, he kind of reminded me of Troy from The Final Sacrifice. Troy was a little more... functioning, though.

For some reason Denny reminds me of Jimmy Olson form the 90's Lois and Clark Show. Only Danny is more Creepy.

I think Denny was so astoundingly dazzled by Lisa's beauty that he couldn't think straight, and so came off as being semi-retarded/badly written-acted. It's pretty obvious.

So do all pushers let you have drugs on credit?  Let you just take them and then hope to get the money later?

This always seems to happen in the movies and on TV.  You'd think the last person you'd extend credit to is a junkie....

Pak-Man

I think Denny was written for a 10 year old, but Tommy could only get a college student, so he made no alterations and decided not to worry about it. It'd be OK.

I love that the entire drug subplot was just a flimsy pretext to get the gun into Johnny's possession.

Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

That completely slipped past me.  I really wasn't watching for that kind of cohesion anywhere in this movie.  Even if we are talking sticky-note cohesion and not Gorilla Glue cohesion.  Wiseau, you've done it again!

You'd think he would have given the gun to the cops, seeing as how he was the token upstanding and decent character who wanted to adopt Denny. And marry Lisa. Because she's so beautiful. Especially in a red dress.

Here's my thing about Denny/Danny/Donny/Dimwit --

WHEN is it okay to jump into the same bed where two of your friends are getting ready to hit it? (Unless you're invited, of course.) Why would Denny, et. al., think it was even remotely acceptable?

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm trying to impose logic on that which has none.
