I'm at 41:17, when John Boy Tucker or whatever his name is drops into the Psychlos sewer and can maybe breathe due to all the plot convenience in the air. I've been watching it in twenty minute chunks; start to finish is far too painful to manage. I am but a man.

The "Wasnt that guy in 'Husker Du'?" comment had me almost spitting my drink out.    They STILL are my favorite band; I was not expecting them mentioned on a Rifftrax.

Man, it's going to be tough watching 'The Last King of Scotland', after seeing Forest Whitaker in this movie.

If it's any consolation, he fervently regrets doing this movie. He probably was a Star Trek fan, and figured that this was his closest chance to be able to play a Klingon, but once Travolta started doing his Shakespeare voice, Forest said, in the words of Gob Bluth, "I've made a huge mistake." ;)

Oh man. Even with Rifftrax that was painful. The only reason it still doesn't replace Crossroads in my mind as worst movie riffed is because it was sci-fi, at least, and was Brittany Spears-less. That is literally the only reason.

I think at some point I threw a brick at the TV, but I don't recall because I was in a mad haze of rage at the time over the logical implications of jet fighters and military arms still being functional after 1,000 years of complete dormancy. Even locked away at Ft. Hood, 1,000 years of an unmaintained storage environment would take its toll on fuel cells, batteries, the chemical composition of gunpowder, and....and....how the HELL were they running a flight sim??!!! Did they figure out how to restart the ELECTRICAL GENERATORS also???!! This is never explained.

I mean, I can buy the nuclear warheads still being active and all (God bless uranium), but everything else in that base should have either needed repairs, parts replaced, or just plain would not have worked. My car sat dormant in my driveway for ten whole days recently and wouldn't turn over, and this is a simple combustion engine dormant for ten days. I bet she definatly wouldn't start after 1,000 years, even sealed in Ft. Hood. I very much doubt that a far more complicated jet engine would not turn over in 1,000 years. Come ON!!!!

And what's with the cavemen figuring out how to PILOT a jet fighter in what appears to be less than 48 hours??!! It takes YEARS to learn how to fly one of those machines, much less FIGHT and AIRDOG in one without crashing every two minutes. I've ridden horses. I've been in flight sims. They are NOT the same thing. Seriously. The same goes for using the military arms. It also takes years to learn how to properly fire a shoulder mounted launcher. And, again, this is assuming the ammo would still be live.

I never want to read the novel this movie is based off of, because I will very probably literally resort to homicide if I do. I was more pissed off after watching this movie than even Armageddon, which also had such enormous logic holes that a million elephants could easily slip through them with room to spare.

Sorry for my rant, but I have a feeling I'm speaking for most people here and am saying things everyone else wants to say. The riffs BARELY saved this experience for me. Not because the riffs were weak, but because the movie was just so tremendously bad that it was competing heavily with the humor trying to save it.

*phew* I feel better now.  ;)

This one was great! had a little trouble getting the sound to work right, mostly when the planes were around, it got real loud.

i loved the laugh truck and "oh that had to hurt" when the guy went through the glass about 4 times. VERY painful movie. Could never watch this w/o the rifftrax.

I just posted My Take for this one.

I consider this to be the first in the 'Holy Trinity' of movies to be riffed by RiffTrax. Visit my page to find out what the other two are...

Best Ever.  My sides still hurt from the laugh track.  Surpassed all the hype.
When punks start hasslin' decent people, I make it my buisness!

Listen Murdock, I'm sick and tired of your dead lobster...

As the credits rolled, my stomach hurt from laughing so hard. This is my new top favorite - and let me add my voice to the legions begging for more Mike / Bill / Kevin Rifftrax.

Janitor

It was amazing. When Bill said "Did we have lives before this film?" I felt the same way. I was scared and alone. Cold, and kinda hungry. This movie was almost as boring and pointless as Fellowship of the Rings. Almost.

This person was happy. That was before Battlefield Earth.

Oh, Mike!

Tony Farms AKA Puma Man

I've seen it 4 times now.

First viewing: Man, this movie is pretty bad, but I've seen worse.

2nd viewing: Wow, the plot holes are enormous.  But still, it's not as bad as Batman and Robin for example.

3rd viewing: Ok, this movie is absolutely terrible.  But hey, there's still Manos as the worst, right?

4th viewing: OK, this is the WORST FILM EVER MADE.  Shocked

Manos was just some clown who thought he could make a movie on a shoestring budget.  This film had all the advantages: money, big star, etc., but they still figured out a way to mess it up.

Amazing.

BTW, does anyone know why some Psychlos look like monsters, while other look like humans (or as human as Travolta can look)?  ???
