I got a free trial from Netflix, and I plan to discontinue it because of their automatic payment plan...I know automatic means no warning , but I need to know, so I can get some money into my bank account to cover it.
Although they seem to have a plan for 5 bucks a month which I just might be able to handle not being completely on top of when it's going to happen again...but...ugh.

Anyway I have 5 movies I can choose and I've decided they  should all be Rifftrax (I have transferred money in my paypal account specifically for this endeavor...work fast this time, paypal...).  Mostly because it saves me a few "walk of shame"s into my local "cool" video store to pick out Battlefield Earth and Crossroads (although there are some there who are really cool and might be amenable to a Rifftrax designated shelf).

So I have :
Daredevil
Battlefield Earth
The Matrix

I need 2 more.

I saw Xmen, because it was the first one I already owned..
And  I love the banter-y nature of it, with Bill Corbett...  I DIED when they made the Beyond Thunderdome comment.  Seriously.  Dead and buried.  And that was just the beginning!!


So, I know I'm opening up a Pandora's box of opinion here...  I should make a poll.
but any suggestions as for the last 2  netflix rifftrax (there's a tonguetwister for ya) I should get?
It's not like I'm never getting any more ever but I'm trying to get this queue full.
In terms of "embarassment" --different than terms of endearment--I should probably order crossroads from Netflix...

I don't know!! please help me choose!

OMG if I add crossroads now their suggestions for other movies I might like are "The Wedding Planner", "Coyote Ugly" and "A Walk to Remember"!!!!!

I hope, when all this become one big infoconglomerate fascist empire and I'm in front of a the judge for some crime like public snarkyness they don't run this list off in front of the jury.

I would definitely add Roadhouse and watch that one right away. It is after all the 'first' so it is great for that and it is overall one of my favorite ones.....

crossroads is the most shameful, then cocktails (especialy when you buy it with Top Gun ), for some reason I dont think Battlefield earth will embarass me in the slightest (gonna get it tomorrow)... maybe that is the supossed power of buying crossroads, after that one everything seams easy

By the way Electric, these funny suggestions are more of a privaledge, the movement is in its early stages but eventually people that are buying the back cataloge will be greated with films related to rifftrax due to the purchases of odd online shopping carts (if 10, 20, 1000+ people buy crossroads then battlefield earth, then amazon, ect will recomend the other riff). It's fun to laugh *cringe* for now though

The main thing is I don't plan on keeping my netflix account. They've cost me too much in overdraft fees before, which I admit is my fault because I can't keep on top of when other people are going to take money out of my bank account...I can't even keep track of when I myself am taking money out of my bank account.

I enjoy the ones that include Bill Corbett, or Kevin Murphy or both (although I was thinking we should have someone...like Mary Jo Pehl maybe?.....to speak for those who were not averse to Wolverine being shirtless for long periods of time...)
Maybe it's the feeling like I'm with a bunch of friends instead of alone in my room, I hear them chastise each other and goof off.

I'm really really happy that they've gotten together to do a couple of these because as much as I love MST3K and I do, believe me, the jokes now can continue to be fresh....although the meta referencing (Thunderdome, oily rags, ....Canada....) just feel so good. Like :sob: I've come home!!!:sob:

Certainly we're throwing a wrench in the automatic preferences systems they've coded.  I'm still going to work on my local video store for a specific shelf...first, I like renting local, and second because they have free popcorn...no...that wasn't second....I can't remember what second was...

I wasn't too embarassed about Cocktail... but if you're renting a movie called Cocktails, maybe your in the wrong section of the video store, if ya' know what i mean. You might be in for a hell of a surprise, too! Probably should steer clear of the area behind the curtain from now on...
