Invisible NanoGhost

I thought Chad had a quite a few good lines in this one.  Much more than in "A New Hope".

bratpop

Well, in A New Hope, they kind of had to stop what they were doing in order for Chad to have a line... if you know what I'm sayin', g-dawg.

ShadowDog

This release inspired me to go back and listen to all the others this weekend, and I think this is their second best SW riff behind ANH.  Two of the three prequels suffer from not having Bill and they just didn't seem to be on top of their game in the third Prequel, though it was still hilarious.
"Did she just say Chipping?"

Thrifty

I give it a 1 because there were not enough people wearing hats.

To PAL users, seriously you don't have to wait for the PAL release, just use Audacity to change the tempo of the rifftrax and it synchs up perfectly throughout the film. change tempo by 4.271%.
With this one, that'd probably work, since I really doubt there are any cuts or differences to worry about, just the playback speed.

Oh it did work, I was using a PAL avi.spent like 2hrs trying to convert the movie to ntsc, than realized, duh! change the audio to PAL.. I never paused the movie or riff and by the end of the movie it was off maybe 0.30secs. Not even noticeable except at the sync points.
The Ood: The Beast and his armies will rise from the pit to make war against God.
Rose: I'm sorry?
The Ood: Apologies. I said: I hope you enjoy your meal.

You're trying to get them to resell us the first two movies with "almost sort of completely reworked material" aren't you.

MightyJack

New Hope stunk (both the pro's and the iriff version) so I wasn't too excited over this one. But it starts off with a bang, killer, steady riffing and then... it just up and died in the final 40 minutes. Still that strong start earns it an 8.

Waluigi

I give this a 10, it was very solid & funny, much better than New Hope ( NH was good, but it didn't have Yoda  :D). I know that Return of the Jedi won't be released for a while but I can't wait for it.

You count that crap?  Well, okay.  But personally I've never heard it and won't since the special will never be out on DVD.

I don't think they'd do it because they did have Kevin on both (and he's not chopped liver) but if they did it I'd be first in line.

Okay, I gave it a re-try and I can bump it up to a 7.  Decent, imo, but not great.  A really poor bit of writing, I have to say, is the joke when Luke & Han are yakking on their Tauntauns:

Shot of Luke talking to Han on his wrist-thingie: riff = "Standing still."
FX shot of stop motion Tauntaun running with dialogue overlay: riff = "Running."
Continued shot of Luke talking to Han on his wrist-thingie: "Standing still."

Which isn't funny because Luke's Tauntaun is stopped and Han's is running.  It's not an editing problem (wait for Jedi for those - sheesh), it's a riff writing problem that no one caught.

Oopsie.

Now, if they do a riff for Jedi and miss the one horrifyingly-bad editing flop, I'll be geek-mad. :)

Yeah I agree on the standing still/running/standing still thing but they made up for it with the lines they gave the Yeti.

Too bad, you're missing out on one of the funniest riffs ever...

Gave this one a 9, slightly better than EpIV.  Had me laughing most of the time, with a few really good ones.

NYFalcon1981

I am a bit late to the show but I've been IRIFFin' it up lately.

Anyways I enjoyed this more than A new hope: 9.3 vs 9.18 (both Rifftrax and Blame Society, in fact I've been going through all of our star wars riffs recently and from favorite to least favorite my list is : Holiday Special, Empire, Blame Society, A new hope-I laughed more than at Blame, but their anger held back the fun a bit for me, Ep 2, Ep 3, Ep 1)

But back to the subject at hand Empire!!   Well done guys, I enjoyed from start to end (end being VERY strong),  good job on letting Chad get a good number of lines and some quality jokes!!

From my super-nerd-metric, the thing that stood out for me was the "teamwork" or group jokes, one person starts it and someone else jumps in with a hilarious line to take a good job to the next level, all in all very fun, laid back and I hope to show some of my riff-appreciating friends this during the week!

not so bad really

I agree with ShadowDog. Chad Vader's contributions were a bit obnoxious.
