QuoteAm I the only one who flipped when I heard the old theme at the end on giant movie theater speakers?

I thought that was pretty freakin' cool as well :highfive:

Wonder if it's the theme they did for the remastered original series?  They found the original sheet music and put together an orchestra with the same instruments to remake the theme in surround sound for the hi-def disks.  Sounds great in 7.1 surround at home, must be really great in the theater.

It must be successful.  They've already greenlit the next one.

So, for the most part, the verdict seems to be.....

The movie was good despite people's fears which was fueled by having totally crap trailers.

Awesome..... netflix, here I come.
I am only basing this on speculation and observation, but it wouldn't surprise me if the trailers and ad campaigns were to trigger controversy over whether this was a "young and hip" Star Trek that completely abandoned the original. Of course, the overall consensus I've seen is the characters really weren't abandoned at all, and at the heart of things it's still a character driven story.

It's a much longer version then the one on the Blue Ray discs and it bridges into the movie's main theme so i don't think it is the same.

Believe me hearing it is worth the price of a ticket alone.

It was really Amazing.
