Watched about 20 minutes or so, then decided "fuck it..." and turned it off. This was way before RiffTrax came into existence.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

I voted yes on the poll, but I haven't seen the whole thing in one sitting. I probably saw 80% of it spread across two viewings with some of the middle missed when I didn't pause while doing other crap.

I had rented it just because I sometimes get a kick outta "so bad they are good" movies. I would say Battlefield Earth fits that description. First, I recall a decent amount of "unintentially funny" moments which is a hallmark of any "so bad it's good" movie. Second, I've seen other movies that were far more painful to sit through.

Don't get me wrong, this thing is pure shit... but I would watch it again on it's own, without Rifftrax and find at least a shred of enjoyment... and that's more than I could say for Dr. Moreau or xXx.

I saw it cause my friends forced me too. It is so terrible and frightening and brain breaking.

Being someone who just can't resist a really bad movie, of course I've watched Battlefield Earth. It's even unintentionally funnier dubbed into Spanish. I just want to warn Mike that he might be visited by Scientologist lawyers though.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

BathTub

Have you see Top Gun and Cocktail yet? If those haven't aroused them from their e-meter sessions, I think Mike and the Crew are ok.  ;D

I watched it in it's entirety to do a Home Game for it. A HomeGame is where a group of folks login to an IRC channel and riff a movie currently being broadcast on television. No one does it any more, but boy was it fun at the time. Could be an interesting idea to restart if there is enough interest for it. http://homegame.org/HG/

Surely one or more of the old HG bunch are around still...  anyone?
Grapes? I hate grapes, I can't stand grapes. I loathe grapes. All kinds of grapes. I hate green grapes and I hate purple grapes. I hate grapes with seeds, I hate grapes without seeds. I hate them peeled and nonpeeled. I hate them in bunches, one at a time and in small groups of twos and threes.

Bartender

Yes, I had seen it...
First of all, my dad had it when it came out (I think he bought it usedor something.) This was the tape I used with my trax, I originally saw it on some movie channel.

Wait, you watched it in Spanish...did that make it better?

Pre-Rifftrax this movie was on my "refuse to watch list", which also contains XXX, so I'll be breaking that one soon as well.
If they ever do Catwoman and Fast and the Furious, my top movies I never wanted to watch list will be at an end.

I noticed that bestbuy, for whatever reason, doesn't even seem to carry this one, and that includes online

that must make it pretty bad...considering you can order a shining new copy of troll 2

I had seen the movie four times before Rifftrax.    But never sober.   ;)   I found an awesome drinking game to this movie on mutantreviewers.com  (a GREAT site). I do have to say, though, that the farthest I made it in the movie before losing coherence was where they reach Fort Knox.  Rifftrax carried me on its shoulders all the way to the last bit of John Travolta's melodrama.   Um.....thank you, Rifftrax?    :-",
