Sorry to go back to the main topic. but..

There are a lot of classic movies that I want on DVD that just aren't released, like LILI and REMEMBER THE NIGHT. There are also some concerts I saw at the Hollywood Bowl that I wish were on DVD. And why doesn't PBS release all of those "Live from Lincoln Center"s on DVD, like Light in the Piazza? :(

Because they can't afford to rent time from manufacturers to run off copies because the manufacturers are booked by the big networks to make DVD sets of TV series that were cancelled a month ago after only two weeks because no one cared.....   :P

Did recently canceled TV shows kill your mom or something?

Fuck you.  "Do Not Disturb" raped my aunt.  It's not funny.

"The Last Remake of Beau Geste"-http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0076297/

I just saw the movie and I must say it's awesome. The 2nd film (Of 3) Marty Feldman directed and, not only is it funny but, it's very well shot. Borrowing a lot of Mel Brooks' style and adding a wit of his own Feldman creates a spoof on a grandiose scale.

Still don't think it deserves a DVD release?  :grr:
Well than watch it for yourself here----> http://www.hulu.com/watch/69013/the-last-remake-of-beau-geste

Charles Castle

I think a proper release of Orson Welles's The Trial and The Magnificent Ambersons is in order.

Also, Johnny Guitar and , uh, Phantasm 2 (hides face).
You know, if the space man puma thing turns out to be the correct religion, I for one will be very surprised.

Today I got an email from amazon.com that REMEMBER THE NIGHT is set for DVD release, and I ordered it. YAY! Somebody heard me!

Doctor Who?

I would like to second The Trial.

It is just as good as Citizen Kane and yet I have only ever been able to find cheap PD DvDs that look awful.

What about some Nickelodeon early 90s classics like Salute Your Shorts and Hey Dude?

A Very Brady Christmas, this needs to be riffed by someone (it has no laugh track). ABC Family always shows this around Christmas

A Very Brady Christmas

I remember watching that in 8th grade.

Does this end with a news report saying it's another miracle on 34th street?   I think I remember something about the Dad almost dying or something like that.

*SPOILER*

Mike gets trapped in a building cave-in o(why did they have him go in and not firefighters/police) and later gets out, all on 34th Street

Good call.

Glad to hear about Parker Lewis too.  Too surreal for some.  Just about perfect for me.

Here's a site of a buncha vhs that probably haven't made the transition to dvd... minimally, their boxart haven't survived the transition.  Man, it's like walking down those mom & pop rental places of my youth:  http://www.coverbrowser.com/covers/vhs-videos

Doctor Who?

33 Episodes of Xmen are now on DvD! ;D

That's one of those things where I'm torn.  On the one hand, I'd like to see that cartoon again.  On the other hand, I'm not sure I want my memories of it ruined by finding out it's nowhere near as good as I remember it.

Doctor Who?

It's still a good show.

Sure the animation is kind of cheap, but the characters are dead on and it's a fun show to watch.

also in my case I have a little brother and sister so it was easy to justify spending to money since they are at just the right age that they love it.

Also the boxsets are only $17 each.
