Is there anyway in the user settings to be able to ignore certain boards?

yeah no on this board has been at all annoying to me.  A rare spec of decency here on the net.

Well, you can ignore them MANUALLY, or if there's a certain category you don't like (General, latest news, Rifftrax Discussion or Help) you can click the name of the category and it takes all the boards in that category off the main page. :^)

You can try some sort of fancy blocking program, but really, the only way to be 100% risk free is abstinence my friend.

and just like in the real world what fun is that lol

MrTorso

There is no person that annoys me, I just never read any of the suggest-a-trax threads and there are so many of them I would like to put that portion on ignore.

Can't take that off the main page without taking off the other rifftrax categories. Like I said, you can always MANUALLY ignore it. Don't click the board and you won't have to see the posts. I think it's worth browsing for the few interesting suggestions that come up. :^)

Yeah the problem lies in that I use the unread posts button and it is filled with suggest-a-trax posts.

Ahhhh, that's a valid concern.. what with the posting of random movies just to irk the members here.

There IS an "Ignore Boards" mod for this forum software, unfortunately it can't be automatically installed because it's not meant for this version. I could attempt to manually install it, just not right now. Plus it might break things so I'd have to be careful.

For now just tread lightly. I'll see what I can mock up.

It is just the sheer quantity of them... There are 4 "Red Dawn" threads going on and for like 95% of the posted threads once you read the subject there really is nothing else to read.

I hate to be a "thread" necromancer, but is this "ignore thread" feature going to happen anytime soon?  I'm finding the same problems with MrT when I click unread posts that there are 5 pages of new posts, some of which I would probably ignore.

I just noticed something...

Has MrTorso's avatar always been an animated gif?

I just noticed it when I looked at this thread just now. Perhaps the old forum didn't display it properly? Or did MrT update it??

Enlighten me, if you please.
