Pixar's Up: Is it only a matter of time before it becomes Dreamworks.

Pixar's OLD GUY TIES A BUNCH OF BALLOONS TO HIS HOUSE AND (UNLIKELY AS IT MAY SEEM) FLIES TO A TROPICAL ISLAND WITH A BOY SCOUT WHO HAPPENED TO BE ON HIS PORCH, ALONG THE WAY LESSONS ARE LEARNT AND ADVENTURES ARE HAD.  IT'S ALL QUITE FUNNY AND WHIMSICAL.

This Summer.

Just thought I'd mention that one of the reviewers at Spill.com saw a sneak preview at SXSW and said it was fantastic.  It was mainly just story boards of the first 20 minutes or so but apparently the audience was in tears.  I'm very much looking forward to this movie.

Steve Martin's the Jerk tears or Sophie Choice tears.  Those are your only options.

According to the critic it was more Sophie's Choice tears.  His basic synopsis:

So it's the Spielberg formula then. You throw so much drama at the audience that when you do something incredibly stupid, they forgive you.

....not quite as funny as last time, try being more irrationally venomous instead of just inane and negative.

bratpop is simply following his creed:  it exists therefore it sucks and cannot meet my expectation.  What's more one doesn't have to experience something directly to know it true flaws.

"What?  The Mona Lisa is a painting of a woman?  That's been done.  Piece of shit.  What?  Picasso is playing with the angles and dimensions of his subject?  Then he can't draw straight?  What, Mike Nelson is mocking what's on the movie screen?  Then it shows that he's incapable of coming up with his own original work."

It's one thing to disparage something you've seen but you seem to be attacking a movie based on it;s "undescriptive" title (it does describe something: where they are going" and that one can mix tragedy and fantasy.  "Yes how dare one mix genres!  I know it's cloying and manipulative because I happen to hear a short description without experiencing it myself".

If you make fun of a movie, I don't mind, but I think it should have wit and should either make sense or not make sense in an unfuny way.  Your kneejerk whining and tourette's syndrome-like responses are not what I would call funny.  It's just you whining.

Pixar hasn't made a movie yet that I didn't enjoy... Sure, I like some better than others... but not a single dud in the bunch. I really don't see any reason to think they will become Dreamworks anytime soon... Altho I could see being a little worried since they were purchased outright by Disney, as I guess a case could be made for them leaning on the "cash-in" button with Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 in the works... But even so, they are due at least one subpar effort sooner or later. It won't bother me much either way considering their excellent back catalog that I'll be enjoying with my sons for years to come.

Doctor Who?

Also Toy Story 3 and Cars 2 is a case of them stepping in to save projects that Disney was going to make with or with out them.

This same situation turned out fine for toy Story 2 so I have some faith.

Also even if TS3 sucks we are getting the first two movie back in theaters IN 3D!

am I the only one who thought Finding Nemo and The Incredibles were really lame?

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

Doctor Who?

Anyone who thinks anything Brad Bird does is lame is not allowed to talk.

Don't blame me,it's the law.

The Brad Bird is Awesome act of 2004.
