OK so I'll put this with V for Vendetta as a Moore adaptation that, while I still much prefer the comic, I really rather enjoyed.

They could have had a better Kissinger though.

Nice to hear Cohen at the end, I was the only one who did, why don't people stay for the credits?

I stayed too, I always stay.  Not like it was a big deal to stay for those credits, I can't remember the last time a movie had ending credits that short.

i hate not staying for credits i also think it kinda disrespectful (you wouldn't leave a theater before he cast did there bows right?)  but unfortunately in this case i was with my entire class and they all up and left and i had to go along to be counted in the class :grr:

You were on a field trip to Watchmen? What's the class?

Relaxing Dragon

I usually stay, since I live on the ever-slim chance there's an extra scene after the credits of any given movie. And yeah, the credits for this were surprisingly short.

Psychology?  Maybe they were supposed to ignore most of the movie and just write down what they saw on Rorshach's face.

Wow.  I'm ashamed that I used my time to post such a lame joke.

I could maybe see a life drawing class during the, er, Hallelujah scene.  ;)

writing in film studies.  we are gonna have to write about it on our final  :highfive:

i wrote a bit about it earlier it was cool cause there were a lot of people badmouthing it before hand as a stupid comic book movie (including the teacher to a extent) but fortunately enough of us new it so it won the vote and they were forced to see it.  and afterwards most would admit that it was pretty good.

Zak Snyder's adaptation of Dave Gibbons's art: 7.5 out of 10.
Zak Snyder's adaptation of Alan Moore's words (even when lifted verbatim): 3.5 out of 10

Well, if you're going to be so specific, Zack Snyder didn't write the screenplay.
FINE

one more thing I would like to point out is in the book New York gets destroyed it really hit me because of all the time I had spent with the people on the street,in the movie they cut them out and then they didn't even show the bodies so I didn't care at all.

Reasonably sure that'll be in the director's cut.

Fair enough but David Hayter and Alex Tse aren't being touted as visionaries.  And anyways I'm a big proponent of the auteur theory so I'm always gonna consider the director to be the driving force in any movie. But I see what you're saying.

Yeah the people were there in the film.

I didn't stay for the credits because they were so freaking loud, I would have otherwise but everyone else was scrambling to get out too for the same reason.
