Never had before RiffTrax.  Now I think it may be the worst movie we've done.  It's a catastrophe from beginning to end.

I think I heard J say that you'all watched Troll 2 once... maybe you can enlighten us to your day to day activities... Do you guys watch as many infamously bad films as possible in hopes of finding rifftrax gold?

also, you could've answered yes or no to the poll, I guess I didn't consider the mods perspectives ;)

i used to work for hollywood video (worst job ever by the way) when that movie came to video a lot of people were returning it angrily.  Well its their policy not to let people return videos based soley on the fact they didnt like it, so i would warn people every time about others reactions.  people i KNOW i warned still tried to return and was like I warned you why didnt you listen????????  dumb people.

I've managed to avoid it. Don't even know what it's about!

Let's see..

In the year 3000, man is no match for the Psychlos, a manipulative race of aliens on a quest for global domination. Led by the seductive and powerful Terl (Travolta), the Psychlos have taken all natural resources for themselves and left mankind behind to rot. It is after humanity has given up the fight against this alien race that a young man named Tyler (Pepper) decides to leave his desolate home high in the Rocky Mountains and take a final, courageous stand.

REALLY!? And this was made in the year 2000!? And the OFFICIAL Synopsis says Travolta is "Seductive?" Gonna have to take my Flinstones Chewables before tackling this one. :^)

EDIT: I've never SEEN so many unanimous 1 star ratings on Amazon.com. :^)
EDIT EDIT: And you can get 'em used starting at $1.45. This might be the cheapest Rifftrax yet. :^)

sarcasm_made_Easy

you know the plot doesnt sound so bad when you read other plot synopsis next to each other.

im getting these from amazon

example: x men=All over the planet, unusual children are born with an added twist to their genetic code. This "X-factor" allows the children to perform extraordinary feats - flight, telekinetics, laser beams from the eyes and more. One Dr. Charles Xavier gathers the children to a place where he can train them to use their powers for themselves and the forces of good he dubs these children his X-men and hijinks ensue.

(the best part is the hijinks line lol)

the hulk=After a terrible accident of Bruce banner in the lab his extraordinary mind is now making him angry. He then figures out that David banner is his real father.Bruce has now turned into hulk and nothing can stop him for when he is angry.Betty is the only person that can stop him from being angry.Betty has now gone to the father to ask for help how to help him,but the father has now sent his super villian dogs like hulk to kill her, hulk is now the only person to stop the mutant dogs.David banner has now transformed himself into anything he touches and with evil power, hulk must now save the world and save the people.

(thats not even legible)

spiderman= A rather odd thing has just occurred in the life of nerdy high school student Peter Parker: after being bitten by a genetically modified spider, his body chemistry is altered mutagenically. He can now scale walls and ceilings, he has superhuman strength and super-fast reflexes, and he develops a precognitive sense that warns him of approaching danger. Adopting the name Spider-Man, Peter first uses his newfound powers to make money, but after his uncle is murdered at the hands of a criminal Peter failed to stop, he swears to use his powers to fight the evil that killed his uncle. At the same time, scientist and businessman Norman Osborn, after exposure to an experimental nerve gas, develops an alternate personality himself: the super-strong, psychotic Green Goblin! Peter Parker must now juggle three things in his life: his new job at a local newspaper under a perpetually on-edge employer, his battle against the evil Green Goblin, and his fight to win the affections of beautiful classmate Mary Jane Watson, against none other than his best friend Harry Osborn, son of Norman Osborn! Is this challenge too much for even the Amazing Spider-Man to handle?

and so on

God Bless RiffTrax!

I've heard of it, but never seen it.

I had a friend in college who insisted I see it, explicitly because of it's horrendous-ness.  Let's just say I wasn't disappointed.  There are plot elements that will have you rolling, even without riffs to accompany them.  There are entire sequences where Mike & Co. could just tune out, and you'd still be laughing.  It's quite the stinker.

I saw it. oh god..  I saw it. I didn't know any better at the time. I must have had a movie itch I needed to scratch. But it was THE worst movie I had ever seen at the time (the title now having been jointly usurped by American Dreamz and Beerfest). I am glad that they are ripping this to shreds. Comeuppance says I.

Plus, I vaguely remember Chris Kattan being decapitated in this one, and a horrible rubber head of him was held up by Travolta, so... that was probably the best part of the movie.

I've seen it.  Even Kelly Preston's general hotness couldn't shield me from the awfulness.

That bad, huh?  I might have made the right choice on Amazon and ordered the VHS for $0.01 instead of $1.45 for DVD.  This will be the first time the Rifftrax costs me more than the actual movie.

If I buy this via Amazon, I just KNOW they're going to recommend "Dianetics" to me.   :)

I thoroughly enjoy this movie, though probably not in the way intended by its creators.

Yeah, I'm with ya.  John Travolta is such a hotty in dreads.

I understand it may be tough for them to riff Battlefield Earth because somehow there is a religion buried beneath the painful dialogue, bizarre directing, nutzo script, and John Travolta jammin. But it would be hilarious.
This movie is beyond worthy. It is the worst movie I have ever seen.  Based on... 1. The movie itself. 2. The investment some film studio made in it.  This was not "time chasers" this was a major movie studio that produced this.  Battlefield Earth had to pass through so many hands in order to be produced. The blood of this film stains many a suit.  Also, it looks like it was filmed by a one legged "little person".  Almost every shot is slanted and from a low angle.
Its perfect for Rifftrax because copies are amazingly easy to find.  Myself  I do not own a copy.  However, I would not need a copy because this film has been forever burned into my retinas.
That was my post from Aug 19 on the original suggestion thread.  It is proof that dreams do come true.
