I really am suurprised how tight fisted some of the guys on this board are. If they were selling it for 99 cents, these guys would be whining for another 50 cents off.

I for one have not decided whether or not to purchase this riff just because I don't know if I would get around to watching it since I aready have the Willard riff and with so much other material out there.

But why be mad at the guys for giving us the option to buy a 3 riffer version? If they sell it, there is more possibility that they will make more riffs. More riffs equals more happy times for me. More power to them.

BTW I have really enjoyed these re-riffs of the old solo mike versions. NOTLD was great and they kept the only the jokes that made me laugh the first time through.

Yikes - for those of you complaining about what...$4.00?? Cancel the internet subscription and start delivering pizzas. I'm just grateful we have this entertainment available again regularly after the drought following MST3K. This website and service can't be cheap to run so if the guys need to repackage some material every now and then to make a few extra bucks then go right ahead fellas.

It's not the cost of the goods, it's the quality of them.

Did you know that, in 1996, John Travolta starred in a movie called Phenomenon?  Then, in 2003, someone created Phenomenon 2, which was, no kidding, the exact same movie with different actors.

I mean, it's no skin off my back that someone remade this film only 7 years later.  I didn't pay a dime for it.  I still think it's cheesy that someone saw fit to try and make money by making the same product.

I'm still not sure why they felt the need to revisit this one with a new recording of the previous riff.  As a customer that is greatly satisfied with the original version, I will not be buying the new one.

Thank you Rifftrax for pointing out that it is the same riff script, so those of us that bought the original can make an informed decision.

I do plan on picking up all the other re-do's at some point.  I'm looking forward to them!  And to Jaws next week!

So, does this mean that BIll or Kevin will be reading the joke about working for Christopher Guest? :P

Ha ha!

I can see why they re did it now.  I'll probably get it at a later date when I learn how to re author without it being a total pain in the ass (I haven't re authored anything since July) or get affordable software that is retard proof.

Jaws should be fun.  If you don't count the re dos that's two 70's flicks in a row.

If that's true, why did Conor:

1) Kidnap my wife.
2) Send me a video of her gagged and bound with a note written in blood that says "BUY EVERY SINGLE RIFFTRAX RELEASE OR WE CUT HER THROAT."
3) Send me another note, written in ink, reminding me that I'm not married.

Why would they do these things if they weren't trying to coerce people into buying all Rifftrax?

Yeah, uhm.... **embarrased**  That uhhh....  wasn't Conor.  **hangs head in shame**
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

Could be that it will sell better with those other two guys that most rifftrax fans know instead of that one guy.  Nobody wants to that one guy. Who is he anyway? :)

*I actually liked the original track, but I can see where some would like the comfy old shoes known as Kevin and Bill as opposed to the new, unbroken in boot of Fred Willard.
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Lets see if I remember my math..

I bought the $3.99 RiffTrax, And the DVD for what ever the price was at the time (and mine was signed by Mike Nelson & Fred Willard  ;D ), and then I purchase the $9.99 3-riff downloadable version this time (the .mp4 for my BlackBerry Bold & the MPEG-2 to burn directly to disc)..

Holy Crap! I'm Glad my wife doesn't pay attention to what I'm doing sometimes.. :speechless:

My only complaint is that there is not a .mp4 nor a MPEG-2 of Fred Willard & Mike Nelson original RiffTrax to download

The DiVX version which does not have DRM can be converted to other formats, if you have the right programs.

Cathy Downs as "June Saxton"...Michael Whalen as "Dirk Green"...3 years earlier, in "The Phantom from 10,000 Leagues," it was Cathy Downs as "Lois King" and Michael "Dirk" Whalen as her dad, Professor King, who has the amazing ability to exit his home virtually undetected via the window rather than the door. The creator of the world's first successful death ray shows up and wastes no time dating Ms. Downs.

As if that's not enough (and it certainly should be), there's the extra-doughy Rodney Bell as "William S. 'Bill' Grant." You know that any time a movie features a character named "William" who goes by the nickname of "Bill," you're in for one bumpy renegade of a ride (and not in the Lorenzo Lamas sense at all).

Looking forward to the 3 Riffers take on "The Phantom from 10,000 Leagues"...it doesn't have a Lon or a Lido but it's got a whole lotta Dirk...sorta.
Home? I have no home. Hunted, despised, Living like an animal! The jungle is my home. But I will show the world that I can be its master! I will perfect my own race of people. A race of atomic supermen which will conquer the world! Ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Oh yeah, I forgot that some "Missile" DVD's (not mine) were autographed.

Regardless of who's performing it, this is some great riffing.  Except I wonder why they changed "Bob Saccamano" to the less obscure "Newman" when that guy named Kramer makes a call on the radio.
