QuoteI am still pretty sure it's about having public domain movies they can perform live
How does that explain it? They needed to "rehearse" reading the old script, so they might as well sell it?

They aren't the old scripts though, they are re-written.

Admittedly some more than others, but they are new versions.

And if the guys started performing them live, there would - I guarantee - be people asking for them to release them.
FINE

We were talking about this one though. THIS one is the same script.

Hey - did anyone download the audio only option? Did you get both the mp3 and the .riff files? Mine  just came with the mp3 but not the .riff file though it said it was rifftrax player compatible on the ad...??

Hey you're right. Sorry about that, I fixed it and it's been added to your My Files page.

Thank you very much!!  :D

Hmm, just watched both the samples and they are the same.

I dunno, I'm conflicted.  I have the DVD and the other riff but the delivery of lines seems to be better with the 3 riffer version.  Kinda thinking I'll sit this one out.  I bought most of the other re-do's but I never had them to begin with.

As nice as these are I am itching for a newer film.
Me Stan. Bachomp Ba chuey chomp.  Ba Chuey chomp.

At this rate, it'll look like Missile to the Moon will be their worst selling Rifftrax TWICE.

I just watched this one last night, and I'm pretty sure it's the same script as the Fred Willard one.
Seriously guys, full price?  At some point the milking-dry of true Rifftrax fans has to end.  Fans who buy every track should be feeling a tad taken advantage of.

Conor

We're not trying to take advantage of anyone.  I tried to make it clear every time I discussed these that unlike NOTLD or COS or Reefer, which were substantially if not close to completely rewritten, that missile would not be.  Please email us at support if you feel it's unclear how its currently phrased on the product page:  This is a three-man version of the RiffTrax previously performed by Mike and Fred Willard

Regarding "milking dry" you seem to imply that it's been going on for a while.  What specifically are you referring to?

Eww.. :gouge:

I'm pretty sure he is referring to the new riff of Missile being very close to exactly like the MN/FW original. More importantly, if I am interpreting his post correctly, is the fact that a re-read of the same script costs $3.99, which is the cost of  most new Rifftrax releases.

I see where they're coming from.. A 're-do' should include Lots of New Material - Not a lot of Repeat Material :-\
