It wasn't a trade, but rather it was a small book sized thing of previous published side stories.

Suprised no one's brought this up-from IWatchStuff.com:

QuoteAll sensible people are eagerly anticipating Edgar Wright's adaptation of Scott Pilgrim, so you'll love adding this bit of information to your copybooks: Brandon Routh, who's playing one of the evil boyfriends, told Collider the film will be a mixture of live-action and drawn animation. Like Cool World! Or maybe nothing at all like Cool World. Who can say what will or will not be like Cool World? If you can, please do so in the comments.

Can this project become any cooler? I guess Wright could tab Pegg to be Scott's dad and Frost to be Crash.  ;)

I'm very excited to see how Wright utilizes the animation, and it will obviously give Ramona's subspace traveling some panache. With this news, I'm now hoping they include his dream w/ the forest elf. Unlikely, for sure, but it's fun to hope nonetheless...

Forest Elf: Do you know the code?
Scott: Shut up, forest elf....
Ramona: I think this is the lamest dream I've ever found you in.
Scott: *facepalm*

So great.  :)

Dragon or dig, by chance have either of you come across a copy of Volume 5 yet? The comic book shop I frequent hasn't received any copies of it, Amazon is listing the 18th as its release date (street date was originally the 4th), Oni Press will have copies made available on Friday, and some readers do have it as I've been avoiding the spoilers. I was curious if either of you were successful in finding a copy. :)

Relaxing Dragon

I have not, but I was just under the impression it was released last week and sold out quickly. I'm just going to put in an online order for it soon, so hopefully it arrives in the near future.

Not yet, I'd seen a release date of the 9th as well but then saw it got bumped up to the 18th, so I didn't even look for it.  I might stop off at Borders on the way home though and see if they have it, otherwise I'll just try again next week.

Did anyone else see this coming? Schwartzman as Gideon?!?

I wasn't even sure they'd cast Gideon for this foray. Logically, it's the only role for which makes sense, and the cast just becomes cooler by the moment.

Didn't see it coming, but yeah...I would have expected Gideon to be...taller.

With the animation, I thought it would've been pretty cool to have Gideon play out as a silhouette in the first installment. I do love the casting of Schwartzman as Pilgrim's ultimo foil if true, and I'm guessing his role will be limited in this to The Clash At Demonhead/Crash And The Boys/Sex Bob-omb show, right?

Today we've Schwartzman as Superman...

...and Cera as Thor...

So cool!  :D

I've actually heard that the movie is supposed to cover all the books...not sure if that's a rumor or not at this point.
