a pretty girl is like

Are you ready for a giant robotic weiner?  If the toy version is even close to the film version, you'd better be cuz Michael Bay will be shoving this in your FACE!!!!

Spoiler

Yup.  The movie's main bad is rape-tastic!
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

Well the first movie was 70% pee and sex jokes so i can't say I am that shocked.

That Transformer reminds me of the movie "Seven" for some reason.

I saw somewhere that shockwave was going to be in it also.... sounds like a good idea right?... there were some protoype toys that were leaked and apparently he looks pretty much like all the other robots and it turns into a sci-fi looking jet thing. Just what we needed, another jet.

This is Shockwave

This is Soundwave

I'm still not sure what Shockwave is supposed to turn into, perhaps a vibrator.

Sideswipe

I was bieng threated with death by wolf raping before it was cool!.

I think it's a vibe that stimulates more than one spot at a time.

I thing it's a vibe that stimulates more than one spot at a time.

It's actually what happens when Hasbro/Takara recycles a pre-existing robot toy that happens to turn into a sci-fi gun with no known back story other than it was made to be cool half-assedly. They probably figured that if the kids could accept giant talking robots overall, a giant floating space gun wasn't too much of a stretch.

Unknown to all, Shockwave's birth certificate cites his real name as being "Galaxy Man", but he changed it legally so he'd be cooler.  ;D

Well, Megatron was a giant talking robot that shrunk into a much smaller handgun when it transformed... Like didn't the other decepticons wield Megatron in gun form and used him to shoot at things and whatnot? My limited memory of that show seems to include something like this... So anyways, a giant robot transforming into giant space gun is probably an improvement from the kid plausibility factor.... at least there is no magical shrinkage involved. And if there was magical shrinkage involved... then ignore this paragraph... and my apologizes in advance for talking about magical shrinkage in a thread that has already touched on double dipper sex toys.

Do you mean Soundwave? or is Shockwave a different Transformer?

Anyway, yeah. They all look like insects anyway.

Ya soundwave. Wow.... I feel dumb now. My inner child just slapped me for getting that mixed up.

Junkyard

I saw the preview they showed during the superbowl, and i have just one thing to point out:
Remember all those complaints TF1 got for using shakeycam when all its characters were giant piles of sharp metal, thus making the action indistinguishable?

Well, I have to say I didn't recognize a damn thing in that trailer.
Apparently Bay has a way of transforming complaints directly into money.

TF nerd mode initiating in 3....2....1:

The TFs have mass pocketing technology (which I can't remember the real name of, so for the sake of argument I'll use your terminology of (Rifftrax Announcer Voice) "Magical Shrinkage Technology"). They shrink their mass by shoving the excess amounts of it into a pocket dimension in order to reduce their size. This would be the creepiest dimension ever. You'd see giant TF parts floating all around. Some of them quite disturbing. Like G1 Megatron's excess trigger mass.....

To over think things a bit, it's always been assumed Shockwave's inability or unwillingness to shrink to proper gun size indicates he's meant to be wielded by another Transformer larger than him, like a gestalt or Guardian robot like Omega Supreme. Or he's just insecure.

TF nerd mode deactivating.
