I have news for you all i wanted was an action movie but what I got was masterbation jokes,racist stereotypes,Robots that all looked and sounded the same,and a headache.

And again, if you don't want to see Transformers 2, if you think it's a complete waste of time, no one is going to force you to see it.  And if you do see it, no one is going to force you to like it.  But if you don't like it, don't expect the people that do to put up with your whining about how it got everything "wrong". 

This is true for all movies, people seem to forget that.

Yes but that's my point it is only good in his opinion but he is saying that I have no right to say that it was bad because he liked it,in other words he is claiming to speak for the whole world.

Why is he allowed to state his opinion but the rest of us are not?

Also anything we ever say about a movie is always just going to be our own opinions,so if we are going to start throughing this "in your opinion" junk in eachothers' faces there really is no point to even having a movie forum.

Manos is only a bad movie in some people's opinion it may verry well be that someone out there rates it hight then Citizen Kane,there is no reason why on the movie forum someone should have to shut up and not state their opinion about a movie.  After all isn't that what an internet forum  is for?

You know, the thing I'm the sickest of with this whole thing is people putting words in my mouth.  I am going to make it perfectly clear so no one mistakenly attributes another opinion to me in regards to this topic.

I DO NOT NOW, NOR HAVE I EVER CONSIDERED TRANSFORMERS TO BE "THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER".  IT PROBABLY WOULDN'T EVEN MAKE MY TOP 100 LIST.  BUT I DID LIKE IT, AND ENJOY WATCHING IT.

And I did not say if you didn't like it, you can't discuss it.  I will suggest, however, that we should discontinue discussion of it on this particular thread, regardless of our opinion of it.  I'll say that again:  whether you like the Transformers movie or hate it, consider it off-limits in this thread.  You can discuss it to your heart's delight on any other thread, but consider it forbidden on this thread.  If you want to come to its defense, go someplace else.  If you want to disparage it, do it anywhere but here.  I'm sick of this discussion, and I think that's one point we can all agree upon.

And since I started this thread, technically you are the one butting in.  Not me.  And notice that I said Transformers is off-limits in this thread to everyone.  Even if you agree with my opinion of it.  So I'm not picking on you.  I am willing to abide by my own suggestion, and if I feel it is necessary to reopen the discussion, or if a sufficient amount of time passes that I forget I asked people not to discuss it in this thread, then I will allow it to be discussed again.  If you feel I am being unfair, then I respectfully invite you to report me to the mods, and let them decide what to do.

The point of any form of comuication is to hear difforant points of view I happen to think that transformers getting a sequel is one of the most ridiculouse things I have ever heard.  IMO it is as bady made in it's own way as Manos,it has just as manny out of focus shot where you can't tell what is going on.  The only reason it made money was because all the adds tricked people into going by making it look like an action movie I don't think Transformers 2 is going to make nearly as much money people know what is coming .

So in other words I stated what I thought was the most ridiculouse movie related thing in the thread of the same name and the next thing I know I am being jumped on by you.

Sorry but I thought Transformer was one of the worst films ever made,I don't share your tastes in films.

I said you were being deliberately ignorant, which you were.  I did not insult you for disliking the film.  There's a difference.  I showed you a picture from the film, which while it may have been a bit blurry, still clearly illustrated my point, and you claimed to not even be able to recognize what was in the picture.

And reread what I said.  I am saying EVERYONE, INCLUDING ME should stop talking about it.  Not "just" people who disagree with me.  And YOU are the one who keeps misquoting me.  So you are still being ignorant.  Whether it's on purpose or it just happens that way, I can't say.
