I have only sort of watched half of it, I guess, since we were watching it with a guy who is a little Star Wars obsessed (like 600 Star Wars toys obsessed) and he started talking about half way and basically talked over the last half of the movie. (There was wine involved too).

Still, the first half of the film was amazing. I was sceptical before we watched it, but I loved what they did!

I guess I should hold out till I've watched the last half before I vote, but at this point it's a very rare 10 from me.

Almost every riff landed perfectly.

Great work guys!

If it wasn't for the playoffs this weekend, I'd have watched it a few more times ;D

It gets a solid 10 from me.  Great job on this one!

I really enjoyed this riff, I thought it was very consistent with a pretty impressive level of funny. The guys didn't try too hard, they just sat back and let the movie come to them and served up good lines. When you can concentrate on the movie and laugh at the riffs without being distracted by the riffers themselves, then they have done good. The only minor complaint is that it didn't bring that many laugh out loud gems that make you pause the DVD to avoid missing subsequent jokes. Wile this drops things down a level compared to their best work, A New Hope is probably my favorite riff out of all the SW feature films.

I gave it a 9 because i don't give out 10s.

... Doesn't that essentially make your nine a ten?

I had an English teacher in College who had that philosophy about As. Well thanks for pulling my GPA down! Turns out, all the other classes give 'em out, so I look like I did poorly in this class by comparison!

Nothing but the Holiday Special will ever get a 10 from me. I gave this an 8 because it was a special riff, but not really special riffing. I could TELL they were texting the whole time.

The Holiday Special is also my benchmark for a 10.

Couple of times I was out of breath from laughing at this one, so it deserves a 9.

I gotta go back and watch the holiday special riff... I liked the riff, thought it was really funny... four outta five material. But it just didn't strike me as brilliant. I think part of that is because I've been somewhat familiar with the Holiday Special. I purchased the SWHS on VHS at a convention about 15 years before they riffed it, so maybe because I had seen it a bunch of times the riffs didn't hit me as hard as they should have. (and yes, I would watch the SWHS once every few holiday seasons when the mood struck me. I always found that the unintentional hilarity and general "what the fuck" vibe outweighed the awfulness)

For many years, I remembered planning to watch the special for its original TV airing.  And yet I couldn't remember seeing it.  I figured something urgent must have come up which caused me to miss it.

After getting the special to watch with the rifftrax for it, I realized that I had started to watch it, and after ten minutes I simply couldn't stand it anymore.  The rifftrax makes it watchable and even entertaining.  I can't imagine how the original producers thought it would have been entertaining.  Not even Hollywood could have enough drugs to accomplish that.

If we have learned anything in this life, it is this:  never underestimate Hollywood's access to warehouses full of drugs.  It's the only rational explanation, really.

I actually watched the whole thing as a nine-year-old, but then a) I've always had a bulldog stubbornness, and b) I had no taste in entertainment back then.  I do remember thinking it made perfect sense that Wookiees spoke Wookiee in their home.  Obviously I didn't consider whether it made sense to show them doing so to forty million English speakers.

Okay, the second rational explanation for Hollywood is that it employs a lot of nine-year-olds.

I gave it a solid 9. Good riff, can't wait for them to riff "Jedi" and those damn dirty Ewoks.
