In fact, Amanda, ALL guys have watched that scene in slow motion. The secret's out. But the "any more dorky" part is when you actually write about it on wikipedia.
I can truthfully say I have never watched that in slow motion...

...now the Leia scenes on the other hand...

I find the whole "every minor character that appears on the screen must have some detailed back story" thing in Star Wars very nerdy.
Tell me about it. I had a gaming book that had all the summaries of every single character in the Cantina, as well as Jabba's Palace, and all the bounty hunters on Vader's ship. And this was years before those short story books came out.

I remember someone saying how fun it was to buy the toys of the minor characters who appeared on screen for a second and then going back and watching the movie in order to find them.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

One of my ex-teen zoo volunteers was a huge star wars nerd.  I was in the book store and I found this massive encyclopedias of the animals of star wars with field guide sketches and habitat, diet, behaviour descriptions for him for Christmas one year.  It had maps of their territories and all.

So, even the freakin' animals that are just thrown in as scenery have backstories.  I found it ridiculous.  He was very happy to get it.

On the other hand, I gave him the holiday special last year and put the rifftrax as an alternate audio.   He was very excited to receive the special ("I've always wanted to see this!!") but thought the rifftrax was "stupid."  Poor kid.

He's off to college now. I assume he gets beat up daily.

Regardless, I think Jason should take a daring artistic direction and make them ALL Admiral Ackbar in the RoTJ poster, if and when it comes out.

By the way... has anyone else been aware that Admiral Ackbar tried to retire from the military and become a plumber?

He ultimately was fired because every time he'd go into someone's hovel and see a clogged drain, he'd frantically yell, "IT'S THE TRAP!!!:"   ;D

To dispel some of the misconceptions about head injuries you have developed from watching movies and TV, I wrote this: ...Some Information on Head Injury Effects

Wow! I go away for a few days and BAM.

I have to say I have mixed feelings. I love Star Wars more than almost anything. I will have to hear reports about whether or not the guys savage it or give it the Raiders treatment (which I also haven't seen).

Not sure I can bring myself to watch a riff of SW.
I am quite the Star Wars geek and I am looking forward to this more than any other Rifftrax in recent memory.

Hell, I have to point out the John Ratzenberger cameo in Empire Strikes Back to people who don't believe Cliff Clavin from Cheers was in Star Wars.

I just don't want to watch it without the riff and only hear the riff in my head. I want it to remain pure.

You mean Lucas hasn't defiled it enough yet to make you not care any more? I used to love the movie until he re-released his enhanced crap to us.

So has someone put together a nice picture guide of which of the seven billion DVD versions of Star Wars this rifftrax will work with?

Will that new 3 pack of the original trilogy work that they released a few months ago?
You Read It, You Can't Un-Read It

Conor

I believe that there are two versions of Star Wars on DVD.  Both of them include the Special Edition, so it will work with both of them.

Any word on progress today? What time should we be looking for release?

Action Batch

1pm PST is standard. (maybe a little later)
