Blazin' Saddles flippin' rocks..... I can watch that movie back-to-back all day and still be entertained (and I've done it before)

"Excuse me while I whip this out."

Man, I use that on my friends all the time. They've never seen Blazing Saddles, and when I explain to them what its all it about they laugh there asses off.

There is NO way anyone could make a movie today where a white man says the "N" word that many times and get away with it.

"what did he say?"

"I think he said: 'the sheriff is near'"

:D God Bless Gabby Johnson

I miss the good old days where a group of cowboys can sit around a campfire eating beans, and ripping the loudest, longest, most varied farts in the history of the human excretory system.

"How 'bout some more beans, Mr. Taggart?"

"I'd say you've had enough!"

I love Blazing Saddles, but I never liked the campfire scene.  It was too obvious for me.  I also don't like the huge brawl at the end, where it just degenerates into randomness.  However, I love the very end of the movie, where the two heroes ride off into the sunset, only to get off of their horses and into a stretch limo.

Its sad to think that a good chunk of the actors from Blazing Saddles are now dead  :(

Dude, those were two of the bestest scenes ever!! So brilliant was the part when Harvey Corman hails a taxi, face covered with pie, and says to the cabbie "Drive me off this picture."

"Yankee bean soup, cole slaw, and tuna surprise!"

The gay Dom DeLuise was disturbing, but funny...

"Throw out your hands. / Stick out your tush. / Hands on your hips, give 'em a push. / You'll be surprised; you're doing the French mistake. / Voila."

I always thought Dom DeLuise was gay... He certainly plays that aspect of his character up in the films I've seen him in.

Compound

While not a 100% guarantee of heterosexuality, DeLuise has been married for 41 years and has three kids. I think any gayness you detect might simply be an artifact of the comedy styles in use when he started doing comedy.

I discovered that the other day actually, I had just finished watching Silent Movie (a couple of funny moments, but it's certainly part of Brooks' slide into mediocrity) and was just looking up the cast on imdb.

I love how these threads derail. Who could ever predict that a thread about Fantstic Four and the Silver Surfer would turn into "Is Dom Deluise gay?" It's a thing of beauty. :'(

Hey, it's better than discussing how shitty Fantastic Four 2 will be.

I dunno. I prefer a good geek-out over anything Deluise-related.

I actually enjoyed the first one. It was fun! Not supremely great, but it made me feel good watching it. They've given a lot of indication that they've heard the feedback about the first FF and they'll be fixing it this time around. Maybe the masses will sing the praises of the sequel. :^)

I have to agree with pak-man. The first FF4 movie wasnt the greatest thing in the world. But it was a fun movie and it was mostly true to the comics. Anyways if you compare the 2005 version of FF4 to the 1994 Roger Corman FF4. Believe me the 2005 version looks like a frickin masterpiece. Overall im looking forward to the next.
