Bad /Worse Movies that Never Were

Alright, so this universe has its flaws. Among them could be included various painful and incurable diseases, inhumanity of man to man, the bleak hostility of most of the cosmos to living things, and the Epic Movie franchise. However, in the area of cinema, we've had some near misses. Sure, Hollywood Greenlights a handful of eye-gougingly awful films every year, but there are some stinkburgers that, thank Dionysus, never saw the light of day.

Some are simply failures. Others are dark shadows, the Might-Have-Beens, narrow misses, inferior alternatives to the films we know and love.

To get the ball rolling, I'll chalk up the alternate script of Labyrinth. It was much darker, devoid of the light-hearted surrealism , and it had the infamous "She woke up and it was all a dream" type ending. (Maybe it doesn't sound as bad to you, but one of the things that makes Labyrinth stand out for me is the fact that it's ending is the polar opposite of "She woke up and it was all a dream".)
Love doesn't hurt. It kills.

Doctor Who?

Before Batman and Robin was released Shumucther was hard at work on another Batman movie.

Glad that didn't see the light of day.

John Travolta said numerous times even if Battlefield: Earth was a flop, he wanted to do a sequel.

Okay, I'm not sure what this thread is about exactly.

And Joel Schumacher wanted to do a Batman movie like Frank Miller's comic, but the studio said, "No, make it fucking stupid and awful and have lots of jokes and neon and nipples."

No that isn't how it happened according to what I read.

What happened was Joel wanted to make Batman year one but the studio didn't want a reboot at that point so they said no to that, but the nipples and the neon were all Joel's idea.

To be far to him in Batman Forever it seemed to work  that movie did make a lot of money and it got better reviews then Burton's two movies.

Not sure how it happened but he seemed to be in touch with what people wanted to see in 1995.

Speaking of which, wasn't Tim Burton's Batman III supposed to have Keenan Ivory Wayans as Robin? I'm not sure if his movie would have been better or worse than "Forever".

I know that when Sean Connery left Bond, movie executives wanted an American, and considered people like Burt Reynolds, Paul Newman, or Robert Redford...  Thankfully, Albert Broccoli insisted the part be played by an Englishman.

'K, I couldn't remember for sure. One way or the other, the things I've heard about Burton's proposed Batman III seemed pretty stupid.

So he then went out and found an Australian ;D

Nope, he went out and got Roger Moore.  Connery did a Bond movie before and after Lazenby, remember.  I'm guessing after OHMSS, Brocolli decided to be more traditional.

Well, now you know why Tim Burton didn't want to make the third Batman movie.

You tried to bait me, what with the macros and the calling me inbred for not agreeing with your opinion and consistently replying to every post I made even when they never concerned you.
