Not that I'd buy another copy of it, but there was additional scenes in the first Ace Ventura movie that made a cbs broadcast that aren't on the dvd.  I think that one of them involve him breaking his glass contact to fight a guy who broke a beer bottle.

its a attempt at comedy which i think they said they wouldnt do.

also the fact that i can even remember the last time there was  a officail rifftrax of a film from hte 80's bodes poorly for it.

They did Ocean's 11 and The Fifth Element. I'm pretty sure the "no comedies" rule is off.

And Howard the Duck is not just any '80s movie. It's one of the biggest bombs ever made. It's pretty well-known.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

well it would be impossible to not do films with any comedy but i think that comedy is the stated main purpose of howard the duck compared to say being a heist film for oceans eleven, and a sci fi action film for fifth element.
but i hope im wrong.

Um, sorry but Howard the Duck is a sci-fi action fantasy with comedy. It's not a script based around jokes. The script IS a joke.

gojikranz

oh really?  i actually havent seen it.  isnt it based on a humorous comic strip?

The original run of Howard the Duck is brilliant.

Comic book, actually, but yeah.  The creator, Steve Gerber, died recently, but Howard was a social satire of the highest order and was the closest thing to a mainstream underground comic.

id heard a lot of good things about it is their any good compilations readily available?

Yep, the entire original series (by Steve Gerber) is available in the collection the Essential Howard the Duck.

There was also a Gerber-penned HTD graphic novel a couple of years ago.

Gilda Live.

Unconscionable. If Broadway Video can release endless SNL compilations of Chris Farley, they have no excuse not to release this incredibly awesome concert film.

Harrison Bergeron - low-budget  made-for-TV adaptation of the Kurt Vonnegut short story.
The movie had a great cast - Sean Astin, Eugene Levy, Christopher Plummer, even Howie Mandel does a decent a job.

Sidekicks - Jonathan Brandis/Chuck Norris action-comedy.  Hardly a great film, but I can't see why this shouldn't be in $5 dvd bin at Wal-Mart.

I saw that in my English class and thought it was rather good. Fine acting, interesting story, some genuinely funny parts (everyone loved the "Get cancer" insult). I was very surprised when I got home and found out it's got nothing by way of a proper DVD release. Good call.
