So which city gets more rainfall in a year: Vancouver or Seattle?

I'm from Massachusetts.  The Bee Gees once sang about us.  And, no, the entire state is not comprised of Boston, thank you.  :)

Uggh now I gotta google it.... um... Vancouver beats us out by 6", or around 152 mm. But the sun don't shine for an average of 230 days out of the year here. Go Depression!

...and people wonder why grunge music and coffee is so popular in Seattle...

Sounds perfect! Seattle always seemed like a nice place to visit on holiday.

It's actually snowing pretty good right now, which is a happy change from the regular slushing.

Yeah, and it also means that I don't have to work today 'cause school's out (I teach in Everett, WA). Wooo!

It's been quite the crazy winter 'round these parts.
That shocks my full military wear!

Yeah, we're getting your winter and you're getting ours.
We've had no snow and average temp of 8 degrees celcius. This is completely unheard of in my neck of the woods.

Minnesota

My bro plows snow, and hasent been able plow once this winter... its january 11th in minnesota!!

I grew up in Dogtown, Los Angeles (Venice/Santa Monica for those who don't know the slang) until the age of 12.

And am now located in North County, San Diego.

Dogtown and Z-Boys is an excellent documentary, did you ever catch it?

Tally up another for Minnesota.  Strangely enough, so far Minnesota seems to be in the lead, whether it wants to be or not.  I wonder if it has anything to do with MST3K originating here.  Or maybe Rifftrax humor is more suited to those in the Midwest.  Or maybe people from the Midwest just spend a lot of time on forums due to the lack of social events around them.

Pak-Man

I've found over the years that there are unusually high proportional amounts of people in message boards and chat rooms from Minnesota and Ohio. My theory is that there's nothing around them so they flock to the internet where they can at least have virtual fun. :^)

No, the REAL answer is that there are fewer Internet headquarters here.  So we get to use the Internet while everybody else maintains it.

The long, dreary winters have absolutely nothing to do with it.  Nope.  Nothing.
