So watching Interiors is NOT like that? Are you SURE? Have you WATCHED it?

The supposed fact that her music was influential doesn't make it any less shitty sounding. :)

I think I'm one of the few out there that actually stayed awake though Sofia Coppola's Lost in Translation and enjoyed it enough to watch it a second time.

But sitting through Marie Antoinette was like having the worst sugar rush induced headache in history that lasted for two and a half hours.
Dammit, Maverick! Why don't you play by the rules?!

"Joel, what's a Harringway?"
"About a pound."

And her "films" are even worse.

Yeah, it's influential in the sense that people say "dear Christ in jodhpurs, let's not sound anything like that!"

We loved Lost in Translation. I think she's a pretty decent director most of the time, as long as she stays the hell behind the camera.

Guillermo del Toro directed Blade 2.

I liked Blade 2 (as a cheesy action flick). I'm not saying it was high art or anything, but I certainly wouldn't call it "bad."

See, I thought it was horrendous.  I liked the first Blade well enough - mostly the first 10 minutes or so - but after that, the entire franchise did absolutely nothing for me....well, except Jessica Biel in the third one.  :)

I have another one: Bryan Singer directed Superman Returns.  ;)

Yeah, well, Blade Trinity was the real suck-fest in my mind. Blade 2 was cheesy, and the CGI was way too cartoony looking, but it was still fun to watch. Trinity was just ungodly suckdom.

Good call on Bryan Singer. ;)

Change Spielberg to Hook and Kubrick to Eyes Wide Shut...

Fair Warning:  Heard on the radio today that Tom Cruise wants to make a sexy movie with Katie Holmes.  "Document" the depth of their sexual attraction.  A remake of Last Tango in Paris was mentioned (finally an admission of the age difference at least?)

Because there was so much chemistry between him and Kidman in EWS.

If Tom Cruise clips Katie's finger nails and then tells her to "get the butter", I'd truly be impressed.  ;)
