I saw this movie on cable when I was a little kid and it freaked my shit.

All I remember was there was a guy (maybe a pirate leader?) who captured some people and fed them to this monster in his floor which basically looked like a giant stomach, or mouth, or pyloric sphincter. It was not unlike the sarlacc, only much smaller and crappier looking. It was filled with water (or stomach acid?) and people just kinda sank into it and screamed while it quivered.

So what's the movie?

I thought the big cheesy smiley gave away that I was joking...  As for an actual suggestion, it sounds to me like something from Beastmaster, or the other movies of it's ilk.

I have no idea what that movie is. But I have a similar question. I saw bits of a movie once, probably on the SciFi Channel, where a giant, stop-motion lizard wreaks havoc in Rome. I believe it attacked the Colosseum. That's about all I remember. Does that ring a bell for anybody?

I believe that's 20 Million Miles to Earth, by the master of stop-motion, Ray Harryhausen.

Hmm... I had considered that, but I remember it being so much crappier than Harryhausen's usual work. I'll have to recheck that.
