Lembach is staying!

There's a commercial airing now for some wretched-looking teen chick flick, but I love it because it ends with the words ". . . directed by Michael Lembach," and I can't hear it without remembering "Lembach is staying! Lembach is staying!"

Maybe that's not really how you spell this guy's name, but if it isn't, I don't want to know. I enjoy my simple pleasures.

It's actually Michael Lembeck.....he was Julie's husband on "One Day at a Time" but directs full time now.  He's married to the actress who played Randy the Stewardess in Airplane!.

And his father was Harvey Lembeck who was in Stalag 17, Eric Von Zipper in the "Beach Party" movies and was on "The Phil Silvers Show".

Ironically, when they did the whole "Lembach is staying" thing it made me think of the Lembeck's at the time...how similar the names were.  So....I was the reverse of you.
