This to me was the worst. I like the occasional guest riffer, but didn't think this riff was nearly as funny as any of the others. I look forward to getting back to it just being Mike and the guys.

Don't get me wrong it was still a funny rifftrax, just not up there as high as many of the others.

The Spider-Man 3 riff is my FAVORITE riff ever!

I actually saw this riff over at a friend's house and was so impressed with it that I registered here and paid for the riff just 'cause I liked it so much!  Great job, Lileks and Mike!  Thank you!  :)

9/10.  Plenty of laugh out loud moments for me, but docked a point for a couple of very shopworn, tedious jokes that ticked me off.  Could've had a 10, guys.  Sorry, but you'll have to try again.

That and the lack of serious replay value forced me to give it an 8/10.  Spider-Man 2 was actually a better Riff.

9/10. I hope Lileks comes back for another track

What do you mean by this?  ???

Lieks --- whatever --- ruined it for me. He was more weird than funny, which would be fine if RiffTrax were absurdist by their nature. They aren't. He was different and, in this case, in a bad way. Maybe Lieks would riff Freddy Got Fingered pretty well, or The Room, but he doesn't work for Spider-Man 3, especially up against a guy like Mike.  Probably the best example was his opening monologue; it soured me to him immediately.

Dare I say this might I shame the good name of Road House or Predator RiffTrax, but I'd have preferred Mike solo on this one.

Grade: C-, and a very generous grade.
Average RiffTrax earn a C.

Star Wars Holiday Special: A+; The Room: A; Twilight: A; Eragon: A-; Firewall: A-; Batman and Robin: B+; Battlefield Earth: B; Titanic: B-
Casablanca: C+; The Matrix: C;  Aeon Flux: C-; The Sixth Sense: C-; Spider-Man: D+; X-Men: D; Island of Dr. Moreau: D; 300: F

I can't let the last comment on this riff be so negative, so here I go:

I enjoyed this riff a lot, I thought James did pretty well, not as well as Mike, but being a comic book "nerd" I may be slightly biased  :highfive:

How this holds up against Spidey 2:  I got 5 more laughs from part 3 than I did part 2, but part 2 is 10 or so minutes shorter....... so to me they are fairly close overall, with Spiderman 2 holding a slight edge.

To me this riff is a solid 9 not perfect but very entertaining (slightly heavy on the obscure references, I love them but it makes Spidey 2 a lil more newbie friendly)

Asbestos Bill

I recently watched it again and I continue to love it. I guess I can see how Lileks might be seen as boring—he's certainly less "jokey" than the others—but personally I thought it was a fresh change of pace and I found him reasonably charming. Like Elijah said, if you don't like the opening monolog, you won't like the rest of it.

Best line:
[police blotter] "We have a drunken kangaroo in a tree. Over. ..... Correction, that is a liquor store robbery."

10/10 from me. Probably would have been 9/10 normally, but I'm scoring on a curve since it's a "Mike & guest" riff. And in my opinion it's the best Mike & guest riff I've heard to date (which I believe is all of them, minus Ocean's Eleven and Missile to the Moon /w Fred Willard). Lileks is now my favorite guest riffer. Sorry Weird Al, sorry Lowtax.
