IMHO-which should really be -
IMOWSBCTLAOWOTS(In-my-opinion-which-should-be-considered- the-last-and-only-word-on-the-subject)

The STAR TREK V Riff is truly, utterly, and (my geek is showing) FRAKKIN' hysterical!!
My husband and I were litterally bent over laughing.  (well, the bending over part may not have been related to the film)  Nonetheless, Star Trek V Riff Traxx, I dub thee (at least up to this point)

BEST RIFF EVER!

It felt like old home week, hearing both Nelson and Murphy together again.  But familiarities aside, the timing, the writing, everything was right on target.

Flaws?   There were a few odd spots where a choice riff opportunity was left out.
But even those weren't enough to drop my overall 'riffscore', if I may coin a word.

RiffScore for Star Trek V. . . . . .     5 out of 5 * Hikeebas! *

IMOWSBCTLAOWOTS That's Hilarious!  I am going to use that now.
I agree I think it is the best.  The other rifftrax comments are just as funny yet this is by far the most wacky movie riffed yet.  This one is funny enough by itself but with the rifftrax it takes the movie where no man has gone before.  (I'm sorry) You just can't go wrong with Shatner.
When punks start hasslin' decent people, I make it my buisness!

Listen Murdock, I'm sick and tired of your dead lobster...

Hearing Mike and Kevin's voices riff a movie made me want to cry.
I'm serious.  I get embarrassingly nostalgic over MST3K. It was almost disconcerting not to the see the silhouettes at the bottom of the screen, as it seemed so natural that they should be there.  Now all rifftrax needs is Bill or Trace to join in with Mike and Kevin.
I'm also still hoping on another former-writer joining in with Mike (Mary Jo or even Joel maybe?)

Now THAT'S a great idea for a rating system!

They can provide a scale on each Rifftrax's web page that allows registered users to rate the track, from 1 to 5 "Hikeebas".

What do you think, admins and mods? Sound like a good idea? Of course, the word "Hikeeba" might be protected somehow, so another term might have to go in its place, but wouldn't it be nice???

How about JIM KATA!!!?

Indeed, I found myself enjoying this Rifftrax greatly.
While I do own many MST3K episodes (some through... less than legal methods, I admit), I'd seen them all to the point wher eI could memorize them easily. Just hearing the demo for this brought a tear or two to the corner of my eye, knowing that... sometimes... your work never really leaves you - it just takes new forms.
Also, I finally have a use for that Special Edition Star Trek V DVD I got last year for a couple bucks. Sure isn't the Shattner-only commentary, that's for sure.

While I had some timing problems, I attribute that to running the DVD on my old tower computer and the Rifftrax on the new laptop. Had I room on the iPod, it would have gone much easier.
In all, I completely agree with the rating - 5/5 and well worth the three bucks.

Agreed-- this was definitely the funniest out of the three I've watched so far (the other two being Top Gun and X-men.) I was actually crying laughing a few times.
A wizard did it.

Allow me to just throw Hodgka (Hodjka, Aadjka) out there too, as it is such a great word.
(This coming from "The Incredible Melting Man" of course.)

I agree :-) So I pegged the geek-o-meter a bit & created green-screen loops of the silhouettes so I can add them in.

aneel

Agreed.  5 out of 5; the best Rifftrax I've listened to yet.

And now, some Shatner song

Sharktopus

STV was my first RiffTrak and I've yet so find a funnier one. Best Riff to show a newbie, I think.

Not only that, but there's so many people out there who already own a DVD copy of the Matrix, so it's almost not a financial factor for most people, as if they don't own it themselves, there's always "someone you know" who has it or knows someone else who has it.
