We need some new polls but I don't feel like doing a serious one so... Lets vote for our favorite bad actor. These are people who by all accounts really shouldn't have careers as actors, but for some reason we not only allow them to, but enjoy it.

To get us started...

- Bruce Campbell
Anyone who's seen the first 15 minutes of Congo knows that Bruce can't act, but I think anyone who's seen the Evil Dead trilogy (especially Army of Darkness) and/or his TNT western/sci-fi/comedy series The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. has to admit he has a sort of charm. Thus he has attained a large cult following that culminated in My Name is Bruce.

and...
- Christopher Walken
Walken does essentially the same thing in every role, but somehow it never gets old. Even when he's hosting Saturday Night Live and he's obviously just phoning it in and blatantly reading the cue cards for every line, it can still be enjoyable.

So who else is there? Nominate some people and after awhile I'll make this thread a poll (that's possible, right?)

BBQ Platypus

Shatner.  No contest.

I refuse to call Bruce Campbell an "actor" because he really is that awesome in real life.  No acting required.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Relaxing Dragon

Timothy Olyphant. I'm sorry, but I just don't see anything good in this guy. He played a terrible Agent 47 and an even worse Die Hard villain (and I use that term quite loosely). Haven't seen Deadwood, though, so maybe he's really good in that.

I nominate Keanu. Yeah, I know - but his greatest talent is that he knows how to pick interesting roles. Even his bad movies (Point Break) have a certain charm to them, and even in the movies he's been in that were utter failures (Johnny Mnemonic), you still had to have a certain admiration for what they were trying to do.

Also, Rowdy Roddy Piper, who deserves a nod even just for They Live alone.

Additionally, The Swayze - I thought he was really a horrendous actor until I saw his small role in Donnie Darko. Genuinely good.

Tripe

Hayden Christensen (also reportedly one of the most malodorous actors out there, the boy doesn't was apparently)

And you know Shatner actually turned in a few good performaces prior to planting his backside in the captain's chair.

This, for instance.

Chuck Norris- His emotional range consists of changing his gaze from stony to flinty, but I still find his movies fun to watch. Either that or I'm afraid to change the channel without his permission ;D.

Find a copy of Keeping Mum....a supporting role but he's very good.  And it's a funny (dark) movie.

Also, how about some love for Michael "Ham Tyler" Ironside, who always has the appearance of the asshole neighbor whose lawn your dog just shat on as he was getting his paper.

Loved him in the "V" mini-series' - and he was the only tolerable thing in the Series.  When he left that show I gave up.   :D

Cristopher Walken is an amazing actor. Only reason I sat through The Deer Hunter

Natureboy

Gary Oldman (ok, some of his roles have been terrible, but he has also been terrific in other ones).
