I really like these rifftrax but haven't downloaded them yet. Maybe I didn't take enough time reading but I want to know if there is a way to download the movie with the rifftrax commentaries all in one package. I don't watch movies on my PC much and would love to have these for my DVD payer to watch...is this a possibility?

Most Rifftrax are MP3 commentaries which you have to provide the movie yourself, and the standard way to watch it is to play the dvd on your tv while listening to the MP3 on a separate device (your computer, iPod, burned to a data cd and played on a cd player etc)  If you look specifically for VOD (Video on Demand) riffs, you can download the audio and video mixed.  These are the shorts and some of the older movies.

Yeah. Skip the computer viewing. Just hook your mp3 in your living room. Laptop is a common way to achieve this but it varies for everybody. Recently I moved a cheap computer into my living room (its sole purpose is to play mp3s). However before that I had a bunch of different methods, such as play the DVD or BR on my ps3, then the mp3 on my 360. Or play the movie in my DVD player, then the mp3 on my 360. Helps if you have external speakers so the mp3 can play on the receiver, while the movie audio plays on the tv. I'm just rambling though, I'm sure if you get creative you can think of a way to play mp3s in your living room.

Compound

There are ways to combine the Rifftrax and the DVD onto one disc, but it's rather technical and requires a DVD burner. Plus it might skirt the edge of legality, depending on where you are and current interpretations of copyright laws.

Heck, I've been able on occasion to catch a movie, like say, Daredevil, on cable.  I recoreded it, bought and d/l the RiffTrax, and watched it at my leisure.    (btw, MN, love the new avatar, is that a not so subtle hint to the staff at RiffTrax?)

Honestly I loved the movie, so you could say its a not so subtle hint for everybody on the forum to see it immediately - one of the year's best. Also its a film MADE for Blu-ray. A Speed Racer Rifftrax would be very damn cool but I'm not sure its on very many peoples radar. Matrix 3 Rifftrax is probably more likely (and deserving).

haha interesting responce ;) didn't like the movie ? lol

or mayhaps my avy is too ambiguous

Nah, I just think it'd be an interesting project.   Any time the 2-D is brought into the 3-D (not to mention live action) the results can be both good and bad....

I really like these rifftrax but haven't downloaded them yet.

Well, I can sympathize...the first time I tried watching a movie along side the accompanying Rifftrax, I had also neglected to actually download the MP3 file.

By the end of the movie, I found the experience somewhat lacking, and wondered what all the hoopla was about. Even worse, I sent the most damning email to the Rifftrax website complaining that nobody said anything during the movie, except me and (unfortunately) the people in the movie.

The point is...try downloading them, they get even better. ;)

Sometimes when I need to explain Rifftrax to the uninitiated, its easiest to enter the mainsite then show em the samples. Frankly there are enough free samples on the website to please casual fans of comedy.until they simply move on to something else. They'll move on with their lives, thinking of Rifftrax as yet another youtube channel. These people won't become purchasing customers until the distant future (when popular DVDs come with Rifftrax built in).
