Well, yeah, he staked her with the special leaded iron sword, and stakes himself, because apparently he just found that he's a vampire and possibly always has been. Then there is a big glowing light thingy and they get zapped up into the spaceship, which flies off.

I thought he spiked himself out of

1) guilt over bringing them back to Earth (even though it wasn't really his fault) and
2) because he'd rather do that than live without the female vampire?

that may have been his motivation, but it still turned out that he was a space vampire like her.

I think any remake of lifeforce needs to keep the gorgeous naked space vampire walking around being gorgeous and naked.

I've thought this up in another thread. My remake of Manos would look like this:

New Title: The Hands of Fate

Director: Sam Raimi
The Master: Daniel Day Lewis
Torgo: Johnny Depp
Dad: Bruce Campbell
Mom: Nicole Kidman
Daughter: Miranda Cosgrove
Music: Danny Elfman

The script would have to be more fleshed out and maybe throw in some more characters and dangers to encounter in the old desert house. With lots of creepy pagan religion stuff.

I guess I don't think of Vampries as the same kind of undead as zombies--they're still living organisms, just kind of a different subspecies or something.  So more of a metaphorical undead?  I dunno. I go with the Anno Dracula type here I guess.

A friend of mine says that ever since realizing that the underground BART tracks run right under the Federal Reserve in San Francisco, she thinks that The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3 should be remade with that as its focus.
