I'm relatively new here, I checked out a few topics before deciding to join up.  I've been a fan of MST3K for years (watched the old Mystery Science Theater Hour, originally, saw a couple videotapes, then was finally able to see the Sci-Fi episodes when our cable provider picked up the station).  I'm from the west coast, Oregon to be exact, 29 years old, and glad to be here.

Howdy stranger... Welcome to the Rifftrax rodeo.  Exits are two to the front, two to the side and two to the rear.  Please keep your hands and feet on the colored circles decided by a spin of the spinner.  Oh wait, that's Twister.  *shakes head*  I can't sleep, but welcome.

Hey there! It's nice to see someone use their first post to introduce themselves, rather than make suggestions of Rifftrax.

Sharktopus

My first post was, characteristically, about Futurama. I didn't request a movie until my second post, thank you very much.  8)

Also, welcome!

You've been to Saturn? Hey, I've been to Saturn!!

Greetings TuxKamen.

Isn't Oregon one of the states that has no speed limits?

You and me both, man.

Official BBQ Platypus "Welcome to Insert Forum Name Here" Cookie-Cutter Form Letter:

Greetings, New Poster!  As of now, my feelings toward you are completely neutral! May they remain neutral or better for many a month, before you say something that annoys me slightly until about a week later when I forget about it! Then, may they remain neutral again!
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Welcome there sir, hope you enjoy our humble abode.  Remember to never accept Torgospizza's crazy bread, and to remember what you thought of movies behind you. hopefully these rifftrax will enlighten you and see just how crappy movies have gotten these days!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone.  :) I felt it would be more appropriate to introduce myself, rather than pop up randomly in another subject.  As for which Rifftrax should be made next, I'm really more content to sit back and see what Mike has in mind (however, after watching Congo again the other night...).

Kodiak, you quoted with You've been to Saturn?  Hey, I've been to Saturn!! and asked me to name the movie.  That's a pretty easy one for me, one of my all-time favorites, Beetlejuice!  I can usually get my mom to laugh pretty well with his list of credentials.

Gammer73, Oregon does have speed limits, 55 on normal roads, 65 on the freeway (with 55 for trucks there).  Not sure what states don't have limits, actually.  :-[

I think Montana's one of them, but nobody's ever been there to find out...

Not anymore.  For a while after the national speed limit was repealed, Montana had no speed limit other than some verbiage in the law books stating that you must drive at a "reasonable and prudent" speed.  Then, the State Supreme Court decided that language was too vague, and therefore unconstitutional (bastards!)  The backwoodsy folk of the Big Sky country have been shackled by a 75 MPH limit ever since.
