Yahoo! Movies "Top" SciFi flicks...yeck

[AramFingel]

Some good ones in here, but damn...Serenity is at like #30 while Transformers makes #2?

[Relaxing Dragon]

Seriously? Iron Man at number one? Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie and all that, but number one? Ridiculous.

The lack of The Thing on that list also brings me no end of discomfort.

[boingo2000]

So... Iron Man is the best Science Fiction movie ever, and 2001: A Space Odyssey doesn't even rate a mention....

Excuse me, I've got to go bang my head off a wall for a while.

[BBQ Platypus]

This list fails.

[AramFingel]

Yeah, half the movies on the list barely rate being called science fiction.

[BBQ Platypus]

Frankly, my mind is still trying to recover from Transformers at #3.

[ninjacat11]

Part of the problem is that it's user-rated. As a Yahoo! Movies member, I can tell you guys for a fact that the user ratings on that site are absolutely horrid.

To put things into perspective, Pirates of the Carribean: Curse of the Black Pearl is one of the highest-rated movies on the site.

And don't even try with the reviews.

Still, this list is crap.
Why is Alien below Spider-Man 2?
Why is Aliens below Transformers?
And why is Iron Man #1? Iron Man was good, but it's no Aliens.

Why don't 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Thing, and Blade Runner even squeeze out a mention?

[Natureboy]

The worse one is The Incredibles at #12.

What preschool did they perform this survey at?

[Nick]

I don't think I can add anything except "wow". This list is the greatest pile of fail ever conceived in the idiocy strewn bowels of the interwebs.

[anais.jude]

how is Aliens better than Alien?

[ninjacat11]

how is Aliens better than Alien?

Because it has more explosions?

[Tripe]

And the word Bitch is uttered by a woman, that makes it like well cool.

And the word Bitch is uttered by a woman, that makes it like well cool.

Exactly.

What preschool did they perform this survey at?

Seriously.....a "Top Sci-fi Movie" list without 2001 or Brazil?!?!?!?!?!?

[ScottotD]

any list of anything not made by me is wrong.... and even then I'll probably change my mind later.
