I'd say Pan's not winning best picture myself.

I would definitely have been for it winning Best Picture. The Departed was all right, but not the movie that Martin Scorsese should have been given an Oscar for. That honor belongs to GoodFellas.

Fixed it for your.  Scorcese was getting robbed way before Goodfellas.
I'm all out for kicks...and every inch of me spells EXCITEMENT!

And that was absolutely an instance of "we'll just give it to him for this because we fucked up before."  Doesn't make it right, but I was happy Scorsese got it.  Italian pride.

I've so completely blocked out Crash.  Crash was the Jethro-Tull-winning-best-metal-performance of the Academy Awards.  Ridiculous.  It absolutely should have been Brokeback, but any movie nominated that year would have been better (I loved Good Night and Good Luck just as much as Brokeback).

I always forget Shakespeare in Love won.  I guess I just always think Saving Private Ryan won that year.

In all actuality, I haven't seen either of those 2 movies yet. I really want to, though.

Doctor Who?

I was just happy that he finally got a a best picture I didn't care that it was The Departed that won(It was a great movie),until I realised that it meant that they had snubbed Pan's.  Then i was very sad.

I love The English Patient. I don't care what anybody else says.

I'm gonna have to put on my Greg face and ask: What's the big deal with Pan's Labyrinth anyway?

Doctor Who?

Have you seen it?

It's really hard to put into words what makes it so great.

Not that I think this guy is a "Great" actor by any means, but Michael Clarke Duncan  should have won best supporting actor for the Green Mile, instead they gave the "we know we fucked you before, but here is your Oscar now" award to Michael Caine for the whole 3 minutes he was on screen in The Cider House Rules.

Meh...Pan's Labyrinth was visually magnificent, and touched on some pretty interesting themes, but the script needed work.

See I was rather bummed that they broke their streak there, I always found it amusing to see him trying to put on a brave face because yet again he wasn't winning the shiny wee bauble.

It was especially funny when the costume designer for Gangs told him that her award was as much his as it was hers. Excellent.

And the best example of

Has to be Judi Dench in Shakespear in Love (er I think she has all of 90 seconds worth of dialog in that film).

We all know Caine REALLY deserved an Oscar for Goldmember.  But they gave it to him too early.  Damn.

I'm being totally serious here.

That was brutal, don't ever say that to me again.

Seth Green made those movies.

Best Documentary - Bowling for Columbine ...... this is not a political statement on my part as to why I think it is a piece of shit, it is because of all of the inaccurate statements and ambush interviewing.  Truly terrible.

You don't even have to put it that way. Bowling For Columbine simply does not meet the Academy's criteria to be classified as a documentary
