It is the Cannon Fairy Tale version of Puss & Boots.  All the Cannon Fairy Tales are very campy and fun and had big names in them, my other favorite of the series is Snow White starring Diana Rigg as the Evil Queen.

I think I remember seeing them ages ago, I used to love things like that, Jim Henson's The Storyteller is still one of my favourite programs.

EDIT: Bugger they were working when I embedded them

[Keroppi20]

I love The Storyteller, I have them all on  DVD My favs are the Greek Myths, told by Dumbledore

All your Storyteller clips say "no longer available"

[Tripe]

Yep liked those too, but I love folk tales (I used to do a bit of storytelling at the summercamp I ran) so the original ones are my favorites

[RoninFox]

Both versions of the series were greatness that I wished had continued much longer.  It's not like they ran out of myths and folk tales, they could have gone on for many years.

Not Youtube, but close.

Did you see Wall-E? No? Well, before the film, Pixar had a short called "Presto" and it's popped up on a French gaming site over here:

Watch it before the Disney attack lawyers yank it down. (BTW: It's almost DVD-quality picture wise.)

[RoninFox]

Presto was hilarious, old school zanny cartoon madness with great CG, loved it.

An interesting look at a little documented aspect of Edwardian (and slightly later) British society:

a couple of things:

1) There is a great novel in this really.
2) The bloke who is shown in the Team photo for West Ham is the father of the poet Gil Scot Heron.

This video makes my heart happy.

Lets keep this great cameo on Sesame Street thread going...

One of my favorite youtube users thunderf00t decided to drive across the US and decided to take videotape his trek, he built two remote control airplanes which he fastened cameras onto and give bird's eye view shots of areas. He also gives science lessons on how areas were formed and does some nice time lapse photography which he turns into a video. He has some great shots of the Milky Way at night. I enjoy it, check it out if you're interested.

There's documentary being made of one on the most influential rock bands of almost any current grown-up's child-hoods... that did birthday parties, served pizzas, and had a ballpit: The Rock-afire Explosion!!!

Here's the trailer.
