Don't go blaming Lucas for Shia LeBeouf.  Spielberg's the one nursing that career.  For some reason, Spielberg is treating Shia like his Diane Keaton.  The last four Shia vehicles have all been Spielberg produced or directed.  And it looks like there's no end to it.

Oh, no.  I'm not blaming Lucas for Shia.  I'm blaming him for the vine swinging scene in general.  That scene had Lucas written all over it.
Imrahil: Don't care about Riding with Death.

Bob: Turkey.

Action Batch:  Woah, let's all mellow out and rap about this.

Fair enough.  Point taken.

Am I the only person who doesn't think Shia LeBeouf is all that bad?

I honestly think Shia has talent, but keeps getting the same kind of roles over and over. Most involve saying the word "no" several times in a row.

I thought Shia was okay in IJ4, it was all the over the top, "I just realized I'm watching special effects and I no longer care" scenes that were in it, (which is trademark George Lucas,) that I hated.

Nope, I'm there with you.  He's done his best with poor material in Indy and Transformers, and when he's given good stuff, like Disturbia or Holes, he can be good.

I'm really starting to wonder if Shia is improving that, now.  Maybe in the script it just has him say no once.  But then he decides it would sound better to say it 20 times in a row.

JUST DIE YOU BEARDED OLD RETARD!!

LOL!

That interview explains so much about Indy 4.

Chaos

For Lucas, taking a story in a new direction means stealing ideas from movies made in the last 15 years, instead of ones from the last 40 years.

Yeah....

Lucas: "Okay Steven, let's film the whole movie in green screen!  It will look so much better than using sets!"

Spielberg: "Really?  I thought sets would look better since they're, you know, not CG."

Lucas: "Come ON!  Remember when I forced you to watch Attack of the Clones?  Don't tell me that digi Yoda didn't look a hell of a lot better than that damn puppet."

Spielberg: ".....Please kill me."

Is it just me or sooner of latter do you think Lucas is going to make new CGI version of American Griffti and THX 1138 so that he can fuin everything good he has ever done?

gammer

If thats the case, then I'll be on the lookout for an updated SWHS too.

Ha.  Now, there's something I'm fairly certain that Lucas couldn't make any worse.
