Thrashalla

Coltic/Folk Metal...a bit heavier than the normal stuff we get with the full compliment of celtic instruments.

Try out the spoilered video for Graveyard Girl, and see if I'm not right.

I love that video... it got exactly what it was going for. Very Breakfast Club. And it's a great song. Although, i've never been a fan of that sort of music, so i don't think that i would go for an entire album in that style. Is there anything a little more upbeat on there for some variety?

           Anyway, Now Playing:

Heh, yeah that misspelling slipped past me. Glad to see someone has a like-minded taste in music.. Time to find some new stuff then hate them when everyone else starts liking them.

I didn't know people actually haven't heard of Animal Collective. Then again people like Flogging Molly barely, and well me and mine barely tolerated them in high school. Anywho! I'm listening to American Analog Set.

Gustav Holst - Venus, the Bringer of Peace from The Planets Suite. Some of the french horn and trombone harmonies make me tingle all over. That dude nailed the floating in space sound.

I'm seeing a couple of albums that definitely warrant a listen. Thrashalla & kodiak, I'm curious to know if either of you have heard of Odious Mortem and what you think of them if you have.

NP:

Faith No More - King For A Day Fool For A Lifetime

This is a manic piece of work, shifting temps frequently from track to track and creating a jarring listen. The songs are mostly stripped-down, guitar-driven rock songs. Gone are most of the keyboard flourishes provided by Roddy Bottom, as he was absent during most of the writing and recording of this album. I have noted before that I believe this album to be a concept about a man being trapped within his addictions and being arrested and ultimately killed for his personal choices. I am absolutely positive that Mike Patton was using cocaine heavily during the period.
