Serious dramas (like The Two Towers) doesn't bode well with the Rifftrax MO. I only managed a chuckle when hearing the Senator Larry Craig comment.      There's nothing in that scene (or the entire movie) that in my eyes opens it up for comedic commentary, no matter how one tries to spin it.
