If I remember right, his son is played by Milo Ventimiglia from "Heroes" so the boy can just absorb his dad's super powers in time for the sequel.  "Save the boxer. Save the world."

It HAS to be better than Rocky V.
Rocky V... plus Rocky II...

Rocky VII! Adrian's Revenge!

Yes!  Love the Lemon Tree episode.

I'm a fan of the Rocky franchise, and the trailers for this make it look like it's taking the right tone, with some self-depreciation.  I really liked the lines "What's that, from the 80's?" "No, I think that's the 70's actually."  I'm looking forward to this one.

Interview with Sylvester Stallone in which he answers some questions about the new Rocky movie as well as talks about his new Rambo movie.  Pretty promising, actually.

Nice Simpsons reference!

I love how the old joke came true. Back in the '80s, the big joke was Sly'd make like- 8 of them and he'd be all old...

Just like that Rocky poster in Airplane! 2.

i think this may be a movie i go see.  Looks like they are going back to the look and feel of Rocky 1.  and after buying the new 2 disc of that I want to see where they go with it.

And I kinda want to forget part 5.

The reason Rocky turned out an alright film is because Sylvester Stallone couldn't get his script made.  Then he finally let some one look at it (I think it was John G. Avildsen) who spruced it up quite a bit, then John G. Avildsen directed it.  After that, Sylvester Stallone directed them himself, and as a result they were no where near as good.  This new one is also directed by Sylvester Stallone.  I hold little hopes for it.

Those Airplane movies were over the top, but I still thought they were funny :)

Sure it will probably be terrible, but I think I'll have to see it anyway.
But man is Stallone looking old in this trailer.

I heard it was originally supposed to have Mr. T in it, but there was a scheduling conflict with his new show.

Its not...

You might be in the minority, I stealing all this from the imdb, by the way:

When it was originally announced, the decision to make yet another Rocky movie with Sylvester Stallone playing the character he created 30 years ago was almost universally hooted. "Critics are going to have a field day with it," was the general consensus. Well, as it turns out, the reviews for Rocky Balboa are pretty good. Richard Roeper in the Chicago Sun-Times writes: "Rocky Balboa is not the embarrassment many expected it to be. It's actually the best Rocky movie since the original -- a fitting and triumphant final chapter for one of the most iconic characters in the history of motion pictures." Similarly, Stephen Holden in the New York Times writes: "Surprisingly Rocky Balboa, is no embarrassment. Like its forerunners it goes the distance almost in spite of itself." Claudia Puig in USA Today quotes Rocky himself: "Who wouldda thunk?" And Geoff Pevere in the Toronto Star has this take on the film's accomplishment: "Satisfying in the end because it's not nearly as bad as it could have been, Rocky Balboa succeeds mostly because it does what the character does: gets through without falling flat on its ass." The film may also resurrect the faded career of Sylvester Stallone, other critics observe. "Defying all odds," Michael Wilmington writes in the Chicago Tribune, Stallone's movie "comes close to a knockout."
